"That's a nice house for a $5 tip".....
What level of tip was this driver expecting? https://www.dailydot.com/news/doordash-driver-curses-out-customer-for-5-dollar-tip/ |
| I saw that. I tip a minimum of $5 and that's exactly what I would have done in this case. A 20% tip would have been $4 and she rounded up. I am not sure what the driver expected. Do most people tip a whole lot more? |
| Looks like there’s a good reason the customer is living in a nice house and the man is a (now former) Doordasher. |
I hate when people say this. |
| People have lost their damn minds. |
| I tip $0 on door dash and the dasher knows this in advance. If you don’t like it, don’t pick up my order. He literally saw the tip was $5 in advance, what did he expect? A pot of got at the door?? The entitlement!!! |
Agreed. I tip $0 for drivers and I'm sick of people whining. They literally walk a bag from their car to my door and half the time they're lazy and whine about having to get out of their car. If someone is biking or walking I do tip, but for a car, no. |
| Let's make European no tipping happen |
Why? Because people with an entitled attitude get what they deserve in life? Maybe he’ll learn a lesson. |

| I absolutely hate this "tip" sh*t. Completely out of control. |
| Everyone needs to stop tipping. |
| You don't think someone going to pick up your food and bring it to your house requires a tip? |
|
This isn’t a fun one because it’s clear who’s right and who is wrong. The tip is fine, although I tend to do a $10 minimum on small orders. The dasher’s behavior is clearly in the wrong regardless of the tip. There’s no controversy or story here, it’s just someone behaving badly and losing their job.
Now if this happened on a plane, I would watch it ten times. |
