College and University Discussion
| I mean thousands of people potentially suffered damages from Harvard's unconstitutional racism. If each of them is awarded $1 million, it'll do part of the justice. |
Suffered damages? Because they had to go to a less selective college? That’s ridiculous. |
It was not deemed unconstitutional until yesterday. |
Why is that ridiculous? I think it'd be ridiculous if Harvard could get away without any consequences for their unlawful and unconstitutional practices. |
|
Slavery was found unconstitutional. No payouts there.
Good luck suing Harvard! |
It’s ridiculous because being denied entry into Harvard will not automatically result in a person becoming destitute and a failure in life. The smartest and most accomplished people I know went to lower ranked state universities. |
+1. This OP. I like the decision but it was unconstitutional until yesterday. |
Racial discrimination has been against the law since long time ago. |
These are the good things to say, but are not necessarily the legal ground of suing (or not suing). |
|
The only thing that can fix the damages to your ego OP, is therapy. Lots of it.
|
If there was the slaves themselves or immeidagte familes alive, there could've been payouts. |
But affirmative action was not deemed discrimination until yesterday. |
it wasn't considered racial discrimination until yesterday. |
|
I say 4.5 millions for each incident https://www.foleylymanlaw.com/news/83-uc-to-pay-45-million-to-settle-racial-discrimination-suit |
Nope, yesterday was about affirmative action Harvard clearly practiced racial discrimination |
