I guess we know why he left Live now.
I think this is a good, safe choice. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/ryan-seacrest-over-wheel-fortune-165604422.html |
| I've never understood his success. |
+1 |
What? He’s personable, a super hard worker and traditionally good looking. |
|
He is the quintessential nice guy- always comes across as positive and fairly quick witted.
|
Nice to look at Pleasing voice No drama Doesn't participate in politics Not active on social media He's like an inoffensive robot. Wheel is the easiest gig in game shows, $15m/year for a couple weeks of work. He can do the job for the next 20+ years. Easy money and plenty of leisure time, if he chooses. |
He has the strongest work ethic in the business. |
This! |
+2 He's known to have screwed over the second host of Idol way back when (remember when it started, there were two). Good at innocently clawing his way to the top. |
|
It’s a big paycheck for very little work. They tape a bunch of episodes in one day. Sajak made tons of money while spending most of his time hanging out at his waterfront home and going to Caps game.
This allows Ryan to earn big bucks while scaling back. It also keeps him in the limelight and recognizable. He shrewdly built a fabulous career/empire. Smart guy. |
| Is Vanna staying on, or will they get Brian Dunkleman to turn the letters? |
She's apparently lawyered up looking to stay on and needing a strong negotiator. |
false -- dunkleman sunk himself. it's known |
| The only part that surprises me is that the job is mind-numbingly boring. I'd think he'd want more profile and or more interesting (and he's got tons going on as it is). |
|
The overall reaction on social media is not positive, so yikes there.
IMO, Seacrest has oversaturated himself. He's built a brilliant brand for sure, but he's also known for never saying no to a gig. The backlash I'm seeing online reminds me of when Tyra Banks was announced as the replacement for Tom Bergeron. That did not go well for, ABC, did it? |
