Looking to stay in maryland. I am in MoCo and the taxes are so high on my house. We lived here to stay close to our jobs but now they’re remote and plan on staying remote.
Where is a lower cost of living, good schools, without a large church community? Budget would be 900-1.2 since I can pay cash from the equity on my house or get a small loan. |
| You obviously haven’t seen property taxes in NJ or Connecticut. |
| Have you not heard of Frederick County? Though that budget is actually high for the area. Not many million dollar homes in FredCo. |
| HoCo! |
Property taxes are pretty low on MoCo. It is the income tax that is expensive. Why not move to Delaware? Super cheap property taxes |
|
Delmar is closest Delaware town to DC and Maryland right on border. This house under contract pays $989 a year property tax.

I can't imagine that nightmare of a commute just to save money on property taxes. |
He said he works 100 percent from home. So I guess a once a year drive in for something not a big deal |
| DC has low property taxes. Or buy a cheaper home in MoCo or grieve your property taxes |
But then you have to live in DC, 1 mill isn’t buying in any of the livable parts |

Severna park
|
This- Anne Arundel’s property taxes are much lower than Moco or HoCo. Severna Park is a good public school |
| Urbana |
+1 |
Some of you just say anything. Plenty of million dollar homes in Urbana, Linganore, Frederick city, Middletown, etc. OP, Frederick county fits the bill. |
