Class of '26 Instagram College Decisions

Really, really? You just can’t not stop wishing ill on the children of people who don’t think pouring over the insta page of a HS that recently suffered an unspeakable tragedy is a good idea — just can’t stop.

i guess i have been sympathetic to her daughter's plight but the constant negative comments about the girls at the school just got to me.

i actually didn't mind her commentary on the school administration, that's fair game.

You are mean as hell. If your kid had been bullied you’d feel differently. You and too many others here have no empathy whatsoever for anyone - anyone - and you police her as if the HOS or a girl at that school is poring over this board and would be hurt. Please grow up.

We had a child bullied for a short period of time, twice at different schools. 5th grade. We had it addressed by speaking to the parents and the school. Could it have been handled better, yes in one case, no in another case. So we understand her issue - but that doesn't mean I would insult all the kids that go to the school.

She doesn't deserve empathy given how she talks about kids.

Your constant perseveration about her views ruined more conversation than she did.

If you all stop invoking her, maybe she'll go away.

Anyway, congratulations to the Class of 2026, which this thread is presumably about. I will say that HM had a lovely, if hot, graduation ceremony on Thursday. It was joyous, and the many grads I spoke to that day were truly excited about heading off to college in the fall. They've moved on, and so should some of you parents.

I didn’t. Stop. Policing. This. Board.

Glad your grad day was good. Move on.

And yet, here she is

The kids are alright. Yours will be, too.

But yours may not be in the long view; your passive aggression makes it so unlikely that you’re an even okay mom.

You’re deranged and not a moderator. Go cheer for the Knicks and leave people be.

Nope, not a moderator, why I have never reported or deleted a post written by someone else. I am cheering for the Knicks — so nice what is done for the city! Deranged is a strong word choice, and again, I don’t think attacking the character of an anonymous person rather than the content of what they have said or implying they are a bad person or mother is not a strong comeback. Leave it alone, stop deleting posts and personally attacking people. Otherwise, it will all just continue on. Clearly, this back and forth is entertaining or provoking you, otherwise you’d drop it.

Knicks in five.

Please get bent. I’m not “deleting posts.” Go idiot at someone who cares about you.

I came to this NY forum as I wait for my watch party extra pizzas, and of course the hottest topic is about college insta.

You people are acting more pathetic than the DMV people on the regular college thread. Stop it!!

Someone deleted, then said all sorts of things that were inaccurate, bragged about reporting the posts, called people who weren’t me me, called me names, etc. Felt the need to correct the record because of that —

Get bent? 👍🏻

This is a moderated site. There is one moderator, his name is Jeff, and he's quite nice and understanding. He is the "someone" who deleted your posts, as he is the only person with the tools to do so. He has a specific forum for website feedback, and you can communicate directly with him there if you believe that you're being harassed on his site.

I was deleted, was told by another poster I was and would be again. I thought whoever deleted what I wrote mischaracterized what I said. They also called me mentally ill and unhinged. I rewrote because I didn’t want anyone currently in a situation similar to the one I was in to think they were “deranged” for doubting the school’s narrative about what was going on. For me, part of the problem with prestigious schools at the moment is that parents are also so invested in the school’s reputation they dismiss and belittle anyone who contradicts the school’s own narrative. Of course it’s the best….it is the best!!!! It sometime is, sometime isn’t, and for the sake of your kid, it’s good to know that. Stuff gets swept under the rug and kids get lost all the time in these places. It’s not something that ends up on insta pages, but it happens.

(I was reported to Jeff who then, as his job, deleted me. My guess is he does that with anyone who gets reported and I don’t blame him).

He does it if he agrees it’s warranted. Check yourself, I guess.

I’m good. Jeff could probably use a night without any of us.
