Jimmy Kimmel show cancelled.

He got his show back, so what is there to argue about? Public pressure works.

Keep up. It's not that simple.

What is the lie or lies you are referencing?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_or_misleading_statements_by_Donald_Trump

During and between his terms as President of the United States, Donald Trump has made tens of thousands of false or misleading claims. Fact-checkers at The Washington Post documented 30,573 false or misleading claims during his first presidential term, an average of 21 per day.[1][5][6][7] The Toronto Star tallied 5,276 false claims from January 2017 to June 2019, an average of six per day.[2] Commentators and fact-checkers have described Trump's lying as unprecedented in American politics,[13] and the consistency of falsehoods as a distinctive part of his business and political identities.[14] Scholarly analysis of Trump's X posts found significant evidence of an intent to deceive.

He never lost his show, he was briefly suspended. Whatever the case, they want to pull the plug because the show’s costs are a boat anchor on their balance sheet. All these late night shows are obsolete graft pits.

We do know. He's an insensitive jerk.

What's weird about this is that the affiliates are losing money everyday they keep Kimmel off the air. Nothing else they put in that time slot will generate even 10% of Kimmel's audience. Jimmy still pulls over 1M people per night tuning in.

And even if you argue that Kimmel is "unprofitable," Kimmel (and other late night shows) are basically cross-product advertising for other ABC/Disney/Hulu/ESPN shows and movies and associated music. There are synergies for other forms of entertainment with late night TV.

When you dump your first wife for a younger staffer, then try to create a second family when you're both old, there are risks. IVF is risky.

Neither you nor anyone else on this thread was inside the home of this couple. Kimmel and his wife met in college and married, according to Google. She was the one who filed for the divorce, not him. She cited irreconcilable differences, which could mean anything. He said his marriage suffered because he was trying to make it big and was a workaholic. I know of just too many first marriages that have ended like this. It’s unfortunate, but 50% of first marriages in America end in divorce. That means 50%, push through the hardest times to make it to the other end. Jimmy and Maddy Kimmel didn’t make it, that doesn’t mean he was a bad person. Maybe he was. Maybe he wasn’t, but you weren’t there and don’t know. He also seems to have a good relationship with his two adult children from his first marriage. https://people.com/parents/all-about-jimmy-kimmel-kids/

Thank you.

Rabid haters just make stuff up to tear down their targets.

No, they're ad vehicles, because the hosts continually talk about the other shows on the same network. They're making money for the network. But you're conveniently forgetting that.

Actually, they removed content that turned out to be true.

He's only coming back so his staffers can draw a paycheck again.

More people get themselves riled over his show cancellation than actually watch his show.

A very emotional return for Kimmel. Glad I watched it. It wasn't funny like it usually is, except at the end, because he was deadly serious about what had happened. He thanked those who supported him, and the right-wingers who defended his right to free speech. He repeated his condolences regarding Kirk - that he had posted the day he died, but which the right had conveniently forgotten.

And then he made fun of FCC chair Carr and Trump, and was back to his old self.

Very special show.

Yes it was. He was gracious in victory and there was no gloating. Trump should take a lesson.
