What are the "conservative" candidates planning to conserve? If you're planning to make big changes, that's not conservative, it's radical.

You actually think conservative in the political realm means to conserve and keep things the way they are. You cannot be serious.

If so-called conservatives actually aren't conserving anything, maybe they should change their name? Or, more realistically, maybe people who aren't so-called conservatives should start using names for so-called conservatives that are more accurate, like "Republican" or "MAGA" or "reactionary".

You think conservative only means conserving? Do you need help using your device to look up words in a dictionary?

It's right there in the word. Conservative. So yes, I do think that people who call themselves conservatives should actually support conserving things, not overthrowing things. What's the appropriate word for people who want to overthrow things? Overthrowers? Insurrectionists?

You contradict yourself because you say conservative has to mean conserving (which is not the only meaning, but you don’t seem to get that) yet, say that conservatives overthrow. That would be the opposite of conserving, so you prove your own obtuse point as wrong.

Dude. It's the so-called conservatives who are contradicting themselves. Yes, overthrowing is the opposite of conserving. That's the whole point. Or, if you think the so-called "conservative" candidates in the BoE race are actually proposing to conserve things, maybe you can explain what things they're proposing to conserve?

What are you blathering on about? And you just admitted that you contradicted yourself which is what the pp said. You said conservative means conserving. No one else did. You’re the one who said the BoE will conserve under conservatives. Why are you asking others what they will conserve? That was your take.

Why do people who are not interested in conserving - who are, in fact, OPPOSED to conserving - call themselves "conservatives"?

Why don’t look up Webster’s to see that there are numerous definitions for words, including conservative?
Why is the eye of a hurricane called an eye when it cannot see?
Why is part of a tree called bark when it isn’t a sound coming out of a dog’s mouth?
Why does my fridge run when it’s not moving quickly?

Given it was the Ultra-conservative wing of the Republican parity that is trying to over throw the government of the US you have no idea what conservative means.

Given that you think it only means conserving, you have no idea that words have different meanings.

DP. Are you this dense? Do you take all words so literally? What definition do you take the word dense as meaning in the above? You are not helping your party with your stupid postings.

+1. It’s a desperate reach for them to try to find something and make it fit.

Who do we see advancing from the at-large group? I'm guessing it's Lynne Harris and Rita Montoya. Incumbent + Apple Ballot. Anyone else have guesses?

Well gee it’s a bi partisan race according to Mandel even though the dummy is running as a Democrat.

You are both dumb

I would guess those two will be the ones advancing in each of the three races.

Lynne Harris was a disaster. I will vote for anyone but her.

Why? Be specific. I don’t find any of the BOE members terribly effective, but that’s difference than “disaster.”

*different

Lynne Harris is an actress. She hasn’t done anything to improve school safety. She also hasn’t addressed the drug problem in schools. Teachers are begging the BOE for help to address the open drug market at Kennedy HS and all she can say is she believes in “windows and mirrors.” How cute.

I read on X that Candidate Sharif Hidayat pledged to donate his entire $25,000.00 annual salary to pay for extra tutoring for disadvantaged students. Did any other candidates make any pledges?
