Huge shift towards AfD.

Germans hate the current coalition government and what they feel is anglo-american bullying of Germany.

AfD seeks to:

1. End sanctions with Russia and restart normalized trade

2. End current immigration levels to Germany

3. Stop the green economy

4. Critical of nato

5. Supports continued normal trade with China

Meh.

In France, Marine LePen's party gets second place. They never get first.

And before we wag our fingers, we elected Trump and currently elect plenty of horrible right wingers.

It is shocking that they are now polling over SDP. But in a way, not that shocking. Germans are very anti-war and the escalating tensions with Russia are not sitting well.

CDU/CDU appears to be losing some ground to AfD. They could shift right a bit and consolidate AdF and FDP support.

French political system is not the same as the German one - the former is more similar to ours

Immigration is exhausting Europe. There are many refusing to fit in adopt European culture, language, and customs. What could possibly go wrong mixing civilizations diametrically opposed to each other on almost every issue? We’ve seen this in the UK, France, and now Germany. People reject open borders and unfettered, mass migration.

Anything to sell more cars to the Chinese. That's really all Germans care about. That and some climate change grunaer weg irrationality.

Generating all the electricity from renewables isn't working out so well for Germany, especially after they shut down their nuclear power.

People said that about every immigrant group once upon a time in the US esp. Irish & Italians.

It's a bit different in Germany. Germans are heavily encouraged to have immigrants live with them in their households. The government will pay for you to house Ukrainians but even so, they exist together in a way that doesn't happen here in the US. When they took a bunch of Syrian and Afghan migrants, they plopped them by handfuls into little German villages, etc. The idea was full integration. It hasn't really "taken." I have a weird penchant for talking to new immigrants in Germany about their experiences and every one of them has mentioned that Germany is difficult to assimilate into and that they want to go home. Even Germans that work in the social system to help immigrants express disdain for their cultures-- Americans have a lot to work on, but we generally believe that cultures should be respected. That isn't a super European viewpoint.

DCUM skews to the left, FDP would have few supporters. FDP is more akin to libertarians than Democrats.

No, it doesn’t. It’s basically 4Chan for UMC suburban moms. Read the school threads.

Now Reddit, that skews to the left.
