Natural appetite suppressant?

Anonymous
My issue is that I eat too much and always seem to feel hungry / think about food. Are there any natural appetite suppressants that make you not feel as hungry? Like vitamins, not Ozempic or some kind of speed/drug.

Has anyone tried anything that worked?

Fiber supplements! There’s actually a prescription that’s just fiber supplements called Plenity. Be careful about the kind of fiber though. You want solulable fiber supplements to avoid getting gassy.

I drink a half pot of coffee, which makes me feel slightly nauseated, so I don’t snack before lunch. Not the healthiest thing but I’ve lost 40 pounds.

This is mental issue and needs more work than an OTC supply.. You really need to start with CBT and mindful eating. It's not easy. It takes work to shut down all the constant thinking about food. Ozempic does this pharmaceutically and is great. But without it, the best option is finding a mindful eating program ( I used one from the Calm app).

It's pretty life changing if you give it a real shot.

Get a soluable fiber called INULIN (Take note - it is not Insulin). I buy it from a vendor called bulk supplement. Add 1/4 tsp in a glass of water and drink it 30 minutes before lunch and dinner. It is tasteless, odorless, and colorless. Disappears in the water completely. You can add some lemon juice and dried mint powder in the water to make a delicious drink. Inulin can also be dissolved in any drink or liquidy soup. Start slow and do not add more than 1/4 tsp in a glass of water. Do not exceed more than 1 tsp a day. It is an excellent prebiotic. It allows friendly bacteria to thrive in your gut.

Next, make a huge pot of savory vegetable soup with onions, garlic, ginger, cilantro, tomatoes, spices, carrots, spinach, cabbage etc and eat with or before meals. Don't eat commercial canned soup. They are loaded with sodium, sugar and preservative.

Breakfast of oatmeal with hemp hearts and flaxseed. I am drinking some Keffir even though I had thought that I can leave dairy. Keffir and some milk for my morning coffee is a must for me and I feel pretty good with both.

I have been on a mainly plant based whole food diet for a month. I have not lost a lot of weight (3 lbs only), but I have been feeling great. My big issue was appetite too. I am not great at calorie restricted diet, so I have to eat low calorie bulky foods that are anti-inflammatory.

Not what you are looking for but I went on Vyvanse for add and it completely shut down my food noise. Weight loss is a “side effect”.

I’m sorry to say, but there’s no supplement that will shut down the mental/hormonal component you have going on here. What you are feeling about food is simply a function of the pituitary gland.
