There was a double murder over the weekend very close to Marshall HS. Those involved appeared to be in their teens and early 20s. Was this gang-related and is there any concern the violence may spill over to the high school?

When police say that they do not believe there is any ongoing threat to public safety, believe them. |
It’s drug related. |
This is scary. |
It’s one thing to reassure a community that there’s not a serial killer on the loose. On the other hand, if teenagers and 20-somethings are shooting and stabbing each other because of disputes over drugs, it might not be over yet. |
Heart-breaking. One of the juveniles was from Loudoun County, and one of the deceased is an APS student. |
I wonder if the violence will spill over to the Whole Foods? Maybe people should stop shopping there. |
The sad thing is that it could happen anywhere in Fairfax County. Especially, when it comes to drugs and/or violence. This should be in local politics vs. FCPS forum. |
The police officer said their search after the incident was reported included the path between the apartment complex and the high school. Is there a similar path to Whole Foods? |
There was an incident not long ago at Wakefield HS in APS where an armed 18-year-old trespasser showed up at the school to try and track down a student. My question is whether the police have ruled out any similar threats. |
Is that Freedom Hill or Westgate? |
DP - Freedom Hill and Lemon Road. Westgate is the other side of Route 7. |
One of the murdered was a white, 18 yo, college-bound soccer player ---- so to the poster assuming it was a product of immigrants, think again. The crisis of juvenile men right now is very, very real. |
Was that the victim from Loudoun or from APS? I don’t think they would’ve been meeting up at the apartments behind Marshall High unless there was also a Fairfax connection. |
FCPD has issued an update. Was the 17-year-old assailant who was charged a Marshall student?
