Stop voting for soft-on-crime politicians.

Stop calling crimes "crimes"! Decriminalization magically fixes crime stats.

I think progressives need to contact the Council. But I also think everyone is worried about being called a racist for caring about crime.

Step 1. Stop voting for council/ANC candidates that describe themselves as “community activists” in the first line of their bios.

Step 2. Thank every police officer you see this week.

Step 3. Repeat.

Vote differently.

If only someone had told us two years ago that this exact thing would happen.

Can you people read? Crime is down in many categories including assault with deadly weapon -17%. Burglary down by 10%.

You guys are being driven by a political narrative and not facts.

This is correct. And the irony is that it’s black people who suffer the most when crime increases in DC.

If how you are Voting hasn't worked for you or you do not like the results you are currently seeing vote differently. That's change.

But... crime was much higher in the 1980's!

What needs to happen?
Maybe fund things that are known to address this as opposed to bike lanes.

For every dollar that is going into maintaining bike lanes (snow removal?) hire a qualified social worked to support the middle schools.

Dictate that the schools need to use a phonics based curriculum so that everyone learns how to read. Provide real training for teachers - not DCPS created training of 1 teacher per school who is then supposed to teach all the other teachers.

Where is all the money going? Is it aligned with getting to the core of crime? You alienated a cohort of students for a year and a half and the "catch up" that you provided was crap.
Why are you surprised?
