"It's not how white men fight" - Tucker Carlson

Anonymous

Absolutely no shock that we'd find out that Carlson would say something like this.

Carlson’s Text That Alarmed Fox Leaders: ‘It’s Not How White Men Fight’

A text message sent by Tucker Carlson that set off a panic at the highest levels of Fox on the eve of its billion-dollar defamation trial showed its most popular host sharing his private, inflammatory views about violence and race.

The discovery of the message contributed to a chain of events that ultimately led to Mr. Carlson’s firing.

In the message, sent to one of his producers in the hours after violent Trump supporters stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Mr. Carlson described how he had recently watched a video of a group of men — Trump supporters, he said — violently attacking “an Antifa kid.”

If you ever saw Tucker Carlson years ago when he was on crossfire, or read what he used to write for the weekly standard, it's pretty clear that he was a garden variety conservative journalist who leaned on his bow tie schtick and tried to present himself as an independent thinker. Over time, it became obvious that unlike other conservatives who actually believed in their framework of conservatism or christianity, or whatever, he only believed in promoting himself. He fed others garbage that created his viewers loved, and then started to believe it himself. He's a real american coward.

I don't get how this is any worse than what he was saying on his show night after night.

Obviously his text is appalling, but how is it different?

I think he got booted b/c he was trashing FNC execs & Murdoch family members in currently redacted texts in the Dominion lawsuit - and MSM continues to sue over the issue (probably succesfully) + Abby Grossberg is suing over his show - has already set herself up on MSNBC (so will be happy to keep suing through discovery - which will cause another round of embarrassment for FNC).

I think FNC is due for another yr+ of headache over this dude and they figured he'd be better outside the tent

Ratings have dropped bigly b/c he's personally off the air - but give the Chuds a consistent host in that hour and after a brief period ratings will bounce back.

Rupert Murdoch is in cognitive decline and impulsively fired him. There wasn’t a cohesive thought process behind it.

Lol. So…exactly what part of this was so offensive to Fox? The part where he implies that only other, lesser races fight dirty? Or the part where he implies that these particular violent white men are distasteful and ungentlemanly?

Probably right.

What the f* is he going on about? there are lots of instances where a group of white men beat up on a poc, today and historically.

It used to be the defacto way that white men fought poc, ie, lynching.

Yeah, I don’t believe this story. How is this text different than what he said on air every night?

Insurrections and piling on...it is how white men fight.

Carlson can't even get this right.

Agree! Night after night, he spewed poison. Why is Fox acting surprised now? The settlement must have hurt more than expected.

What is so bad about this clip? The left wing outrage machine turns anything into shock!

Seems like the fat cats atFox News were the ones who thought it was bad. They’re not left wing.

IMO, it's "shocking" that he thinks white men don't fight this way. But, then again, he is an idiot, so. maybe it's not so shocking he said that.
