Best ice cream cake

Anonymous
My DD has requested an ice cream cake for her birthday party. I'd like to try something better than a store bought Carvel cake but have no interest in making one. Any recommendation on the best store bought ice cream cake? I'm looking at Ben & Jerry's, Coldstone, Baskin Robbins and Thomas Sweet.

I've never had complaints with Baskin Robbins. I'm sure the brands are all comparable, though. So maybe decide on design or price?

I agree - Dairy Queen ice cream cakes are good!

Baskin Robbins has great cakes and they have fun decor for kids - Paw Patrol, Disney, Mario, etc.

You want fake ingredients so they stay the right mouth feel when cold so go with carvel, BR, etc.

I don't think I can't stand for this disrespect of a Carvel cake. it's a classic

Baskin Robbins. It’s an actual cake with ice cream. Some places like Carvel are really just ice cream in the shape of a cake with some crunchies.

We bought a cake w/out the crunchies - can't remember which brand - its so blah w/out the crunchies.

If you are near Arlington and can get a fresh custom made Carvel cake, I would go with that.

They closed the Maryland location where I used to get mine, but they were really good.

If not Carvel, I vote for Coldstone.
