Which one should my child ED to? He loves both but more inclined to duke. Econ major . Where does Ed maximize your chance?

Duke seems impossible lately unless a legacy, athlete, or other institutional priority.

But even if URM - I think Penn has an edge. I have seen SOOO SOOO many bright URM Penn admits from DMV in the past 4 years. Many via ED.

Son was admitted to duke and penn last year for econ, chose duke. Both schools have essentially the same opportunities but the campus environment and surroundings are very different. Is there any chance your son could visit both before deciding? That could be key.

University of Pennsylvania or Penn State. If State I would go to Duke. If UPenn I would chose there.

Penn is ranked #9 for econ; Duke is ranked #18, Chicago is tied at #4. Northwestern is #8.
