For residential schools will they come get your child?

Child will is defiant and regularly refuses to go anywhere. This is for a teen.

I believe there are services you can hire that will extract the child and bring them to a destination. It's quite a process. The place your child is going should be able to give you that information.

What are the chances a child will eventually thank their parent(s) for doing this?

I totally get being at the end of your rope and feeling like you’re out of options, but I’d love to hear from folks (children) who have been through this process and come out the other side. I’d think it also depends on what kind of “school” you’re talking about.

wow that is horrible. how could the staff allow that? I would have called 911. I hope there are criminal charges.

If you are wanting to transport your teen against their will, I think what you are looking for is a treatment center and not a school per se. Maybe what you need is a special education consultant to help you find the right therapeutic program.

I know several parents who say this saved their kid’s life.
