5. Albans
6. SSSAS

WCAC;
1. SJC
2. PVI
3. Gonzaga
4. Heights
5. DeMatha
6. O’Connell
7. Ireton
8. Ryken
9. MacNamara

you cant be serious about the iac... bullis's whole team graduated. saint albans and episcopal always have been and always will be sh*t. landon, prep, and sssas are the only competitors in the iac

Getting close to seeing what all these teams will look like.

As for the lower tier of the WCAC - I see Ryken finishing ahead of O’Connell and Ireton.

The IAC will come down between GP, Landon or Bullis or the Saints. No team from the IAC will be light years ahead of what we have seen in previous seasons.

SJC will win the WCAC but PVI and Gonzaga should keep things very interesting and will provide challenging contests.

My only prediction is it will be a really surprising season.

This is the first full season most of these juniors and seniors have even played.
There are several new coaches - will they come out with a bang or will they build in the early season and pick it up in the second half as league play increases?
Yes there will be a few Freshmen - maybe impactful, maybe not
There is also a strong Sophomore class just coming into the mix this year as well.

I've got my popcorn ready for a great season!

Agree with this but these Juniors have played with and against the top kids in fall and summer as much or more than they will play this spring. It is not like this will be the first time they see this level of competition.

I predict no one goes undefeated. So many factors go into this statement. Covid and injury will play a role this year.

The pressure is 10x more intense in the Spring with HS teams vs playing club ball in the summer/fall months.

It happens every year, kids who look like total phenoms in the club ball circuit (high IL national ranking for their grad year...), and are significantly less impactful in HS season games, when HS coaches can break down film and scheme.

I'd also add in the HS regular season, some HS programs do a great job in getting their football and basketball players to come out and act as defensive middies. Landon and Bullis in particular have been doing this for years. These are kids who don't play any club and are athletic enough to just pick up a stick and play.

I agree with a previous poster, I don't see ANY team from the DC private school team going undefeated this Spring. Between, SJC, Landon, Prep, Bullis, Gonzaga, PVI, and the Saints... I really think these will be a lot more competitive with one another than most people think.

Let the games begin!

SJC won't lose to anyone local. Entire starting attack, D, and goalie back. Could easily lose to Hill Academy, IMG, or St. Anthony's.;

St. Anthony’s will be the only team that could beat them. IMG game won’t be close. Depends what Hill team plays. They are full of post grade players.

Respect SJC scheduling st Anthony’s. They are gunning for a national championship and will certainly earn if it they run that gauntlet.

SJC will not lose to an area team. Doubt they win a local game by less than 5 goals.

They have a tough schedule locally too. One thing we have seen from many of these players and this team for many years is that they are winners and know how to win.

Aside from SJC, this is a relatively down year for rest of area.
- Prep and Bullis both weaker than last year with graduations.
- SSSA and GZ return much of the same teams that were doormats last year.
- Landon may be marginally better than last year, but still not on par with their championship teams of the past
- rest of area teams will fill their historical roles in the lower tiers of competition.

People still sleeping on Gonzaga.

Prep and Bullis both weaker than last year with graduations. Bullis will be far weaker than Prep this Spring, they graduated a ton of starters and a star attackman transferred to DeMatha.

SSSA and GZ return much of the same teams that were doormats last year. Good news for Gonzaga, they can't be any worst than last Spring as they were bad. The Covid excuse about missing kids and not being able to practice is very lame as all teams had to deal with it. SSSA brings back most of the aces from last year's team and should be stronger.

Landon may be marginally better than last year, but still not on par with their championship teams of the past Landon should be about the same as they were last year, a top 3 - 4 team in the area.

rest of area teams will fill their historical roles in the lower tiers of competition Don't sleep on PVI under this new coaching staff.
