Top 3 teams from the IAC vs top 3 from the WCAC. #1 and #2 seeds get first-round byes.

Should be a great event!

Source for this? Why would they change from the 8 team format.

Also; the 1&2 seeds can’t both have byes. Otherwise the #3’s play leaving 5 teams left.

6 teams - Maybe he meant the champions from each league have a bye?

I don't see StSStA coming in fourth place. They return nearly everyone. I also do not see Bullis beating Landon. I think it will be a dogfight between Prep, Landon, and StSSA, Bullis will be fourth this year.

Don’t think SJC winning the WCAC is given. Gonzaga has the players to beat them.

SJC beat them comfortable last year; and only lost 2 starters while gaining the best FOGO in the country. Gonzaga graduated Goalie, 3 starting D, their FOGO, a 1st Line Middie and 2/3 Attackman.

SJC by 5+ in every WCAC game.

They lost 3 starters and another player. 3 midfielders and LSM. Do they depth at midfield? Will see.

Fogo is probably the best in the 23 class.

Any idea on if either school is adding any freshmen to the squad that could impact depth?

There is NO freshman that will make any difference for any of the top 4-5 WCAC not IAC teams. That is a fact; the class is too weak and freshman almost never make an impact.

Tough to say they with a straight face. So many of them should be going into sophomore year. Almost like saying prep doesn’t have a bunch of juniors that should be seniors on the roster.

Haven't some of the marque players on SJC's roster started since their freshman season? I don't know if any of them were impact players as freshmen but the Cadets have the strongest 2022, senior class in the DC area.

The last 3 HS players that I can recall who were high-impact players as freshmen were Joey Epstein (Landon/ Johns Hopkins), Jack Myers (Gonzaga/Ohio State) and Alex Trippi (Bullis/UNC/Georgetown). From my recollection, all three of the players mentioned above put up very impressive numbers as HS freshmen.

Last year was a funky season, given it was abbreviated due to covid, but both SJC and Landon each had freshmen that lit up the stat sheet.
