Washington Post Contributor Believed Killed by Saudi Arabia

I blame Bush for not reigning them in after 9-11. We only get 9% of our oil from SA now.

Gas prices fell from 2014-2016. They have been increasing since then

Why is anyone shocked about this one?

Why are you coming into page 75 of a two-month-old thread asking the most basic questions? Start at the beginning, please. This has been asked and answered over and over.

Do: because there were several updates in the story recently and it is all over the news. Are you telling people they not suppose to discuss certain news?

I’m saying if you want to “discuss certain news” you should get some background first. You’re like the posters in the fifth 200-page Kavanaugh thread still wondering why Ford didn’t tell anyone at the time. Read the whole thread before you ask questions that have already been answered.

What's your point? That it's ok to kill people who criticize you. Because that's a characteristic of dictatorships and repressive regimes, not the United States of America.

My point is I don't understand the sudden uproar when this country has been happy to do business with the Saudi's forever. And you STILL don't want to cut your personal oil consumption. How is that?

Because we produce more oil than the Saudis now. US oil imports are down and exports are up. MBS is not Saudi. He’s just the temporary thug in charge.

We produce more oil now only because Americans elected Trump. Our last President did every he could to reduce American oil production. Obama was satisfied to continue our dependence on the Saudi's to support American oil consumption. Come to think of it, perhaps he has some blood on his hands. He should have allowed more American oil production... and reduced our dependence on the Saudi's.

Perhaps one day Obama will express remorse for this grave error in his judgement.

Are you wrong about everything or just this?

+1. Funny how the Obama bashing narrative needs to change when you look at actual data.

Facts have never stopped the Obama bashing in the past.

Excellent point.

Correct, and no U.S. president did.

I'm glad they are doing this but I'm also wondering how some of the GOP Senators have suddenly grown a spine and are standing up to 45. I'm suspicious. Are they getting a whiff of what is to come and are starting their defection in advance?

Calling MBS (aka Mister Bone Saw) complicit has no real ramifications. The GOP Senators can stay on the side of moral righteousness without actually angering their donors who depend on Saudi $.

NY Times:

"Mr. Kushner has offered the crown prince advice about how to weather the storm, urging him to resolve his conflicts around the region and avoid further embarrassments."

Oh, Jared.
