I think Leslie will be crushed after all the Gerry said to her. (Gerry -- you are TOO honest! Sometimes you can have a thought in your head and NOT share it!)
Leslie should be the next bachelorette. I think the producers (who obviously know the ending before they start picking the clips to make the show) have been giving Leslie an edit that makes America feel for her and root for her. The producers have shown her to be vulnerable and unlucky in love. They have tried to show her as adventurous and carefree with the dates she is given (although Leslie has not exactly embraced the "adventurous" label they are trying to give her). Without a favorable edit, Leslie wouldn't be the leading candidate for Golden Bachelorette -- it would be someone more "traditionally" beautiful -- like Joan or Ellen. I don't know how the show can give the lead to anyone else after Leslie gets crushed as much as we expect her to. Gerry, Gerry, Gerry -- YOU should take a lesson from mean-Kathy and ZIP IT! (I just realized that Gerry and Theresa another thing in common -- when they like someone they just can't stop talking about it! Gerry to Leslie; Theresa to Gerry.) Final note: Did you notice that Leslie said she is friends with Theresa and has nothing bad to say about her. That she likes Theresa. So, I think all the PPs who are trashing on Theresa should realize that people who have spent a lot of time with her think she is a lovely person. You, as a viewer, have been sold a curated set of scenes with the producers trying to mis-direct you into seeing Theresa in a negative light. |
| I think the family is going to be Team Theresa. They are going to like that she’s a widow and understands what that is like. I also suspect that Theresa may be similar to Toni, and I think his kids will like that she shares some of the same traits as their mom. Theresa’s the one that would fit into his life the best, and at 70+ I think he’s going to ultimately choose what’s comfortable. |
The brain is the biggest sex organ, so if Gerry felt that Theresa really "got" him and understood his past and their futures mesh well (kids, church, holidays, financial stability, etc., etc.), then he may really feel that Theresa is a better match long term -- and THAT turns him onto her in a way he didn't see previously. |

The writing and editing is for Theresa. Which fine, but may or may not predict what actually works out best in the end.
But if they end up being happy together, that's a win for both of them. |
He should have dropped that line from all of his promos appearances, if it's true he changed his mind after saying that to Leslie. |
Honestly, I'm a little surprised by this. Although it's true everyone, including Gerry, started to see her as more interesting after this convo, it does seem like a diss against Leslie. |
I’d Leslie 70? I did not like her shape in the rappelling outfit. No hips. Just not flattering in those yoga shorts? |
He does like the role of protector. Which is ironic, because he is about to hurt someone. |
Sorry, unclear antecedent. Theresa has the great skin, but not much muscle tone. |
We are used to watching celebrities. These are suburban moms. Senior citizens trying to win a guy who they feel is their last chance. Probably with the producers pressuring them also. Be kind. |
| I think it's really hard to know the deal when we don't know what happened on the overnights. With Leslie, the physical attraction was there but he was concerned about all the other stuff. He seemed reassured after they talked about "everything" and he said their relationship deepened significantly and he could envision being with her. Then he was surprised Theresa was more interesting than expected, and he had good physical chemistry with her too. He did seem very happy that next morning, and so did she. Maybe he got more sleep too, who knows! |
| He seemed exhausted after the night with Leslie and invigorated after the night with Theresa. Could be sex and emotional convos were more intense with Leslie, easier and lighter with Theresa? |
