| The things he said to TREE-sa were telling: “you have your ish together” “you KNOW how I feel” (aka doesn’t require constant reassurance the same way Leslie does). Plus was pleasantly surprised by their physical chemistry. And he knows she’s all in, feels much less certain about Leslie. He will make the safe choice and go for Theresa. Who I must say has great game. She read him very well and strategically presented herself as his ideal mate. She wasn’t demanding or needy, just calm, collected, and in it to win it. |
| Although their overnight clearly went very well, I still don't see the emotional softness with Theresa that is evident with Leslie. It's definitely a head vs. heart thing, but his daughters will push him in the head direction, exploiting the reasonable doubts he has about Leslie's stability and commitment. |

Apparently Joan is doing everything she can to promote herself on social media. Lots of videos that are supposed to be cute showing her preferences for this or that. Cooking videos to make her seem more well-rounded (not just a pretty face). It comes across to me as to me as too calculated.
In the end, you have to have the personality to carry the leading role. The personality she showed while on the show was a more quiet, reserved, cautious and graceful personality. That's perfectly fine in the real world. It makes you a lovely friend, co-worker, mother. Doesn't make you a good lead. A lead needs to have a happy, open, confident personality. Someone is telling Joan that she can be the next bachelorette if she raises her profile. |
Yes, she's become quite the try hard. Not pulling it off imo. |
| Leslie will be the next bachelorette. She will be heartbroken but open to love now that she knows it can happen. She’s younger, pretty, adventures and emotional. The last episode proved how little these people know each other; Gerry shouldn’t be that hard to get over. |
This would be the best outcome for Leslie anyway imo. |
I'm not look forward to seeing her crushed on national tv but, yes, I agree. |
Unfortunately I suspect he's not done vacillating. It will probably be a painful back-and-forth until the bitter end. It honestly wouldn't shock me if he now thinks he's decided it's Theresa, especially after his family's input, but then he switches back again because his heart is really with Leslie even though she makes little sense on paper. But I hope not. I think Leslie can do better, and I'd definitely enjoying seeing her as the Golden Bachelorette. |
It's possible his "mistake" was now picking Theresa and he reverses his decision at the end. He seems like a mess. Ugh. |
He recently doubled down on the finale being "amazing" and "something that's never happened before." If it's something other than a "Melnick," what could it be? Leslie walks away on her own and Theresa is the one who proposes? I'm confused. |

Leslie is the women that will bring you out of your misery after the spouse's death. She seem more open and excited. Kinda like if you haven't had s*x for a while, that is the person you want. Fun. Not bad to spend the rest of your life like this. But, if she wants you to move to be near her and her kids, how dependent are the kids to her. Do you want adult kids to be like that. hmmm.
Theresa is more like a down to earth gal. She might remind him of his late wife. And that is hard to replace if the wife was genuinely good. They seem to be in the same place in life, after losing a spouse. And if you have not lost a spouse at old age, you won't understand it. There is a comfort level between these two. Yet, she still works, probably to keep busy. So, do you want comfort or excitement for your remaining years of your life? See how the family responds is the best way to narrow down on which is the better choice. Kids are good at seeing things the way it is. If the grandkids run away from one of them, than, do you want that person around? That person could make it difficult in your relationship with your kids and grandkids. What kind of life do you want? Stay at home and enjoy family or venture out and travel and experience the world. Who has the same goals. |

Golden Bachelor on X:
Nothing is more attractive than someone with their own passion, goals, and career 🤩 #TheGoldenBachelor Um, looks like the show is Team Theresa? A bit rude. |
Per Gerry, there was no sex in either fantasy suite. They talked all night since no cameras and could have deeper conversations. |
| Over and over again, Gerry has repeated Trista's line about picking the one he can't live without not the one he can live with. He repeated that line to Leslie, saying she's the one. Could he really make that big of a mistake? Theresa seems like the one he could live with, rather than not live without. Maybe their sexual chemistry was so surprisingly good, he made the big switcheroo but it is weird given his degree of infatuation with Leslie. |
I don't think it's clear. In another interview he said something along the lines of regretting being "intimate" with both women. The next morning he seemed more physical with Theresa than Leslie, and also looked like Theresa had scruff burn on her face. |
