Yes that clip was very telling. His objective was obviously to talk to reporters. Poor impulse control, and probably on anti-depressants. His wife's true nature was also revealed.

While I don't think he needs to be shuttered inside this was simply poor judgement to decide to be out and about.

Alec handled it well, but it was a mistake to talk to the media as his words could be used against him. He needs to stay home and stay off social media for awhile. Hilaria appeared unhinged, interjecting and walking back and forth. Her role should have been to stand by his side supportively -- or stay in the car with the "crying" children.

Lying about what? He never said he didn't shoot her. Hell, I bet its on film. He said weapons safety should be better than it is and that he was having calls with law enforcement daily and couldn't talk about the case otherwise.

I was expecting that “press conference” to be much worse based on comments here. It seemed fine. I question their decision to stop at all but I don’t know what it’s like to be followed around by media (much less with my kids in the car) so I don’t know— maybe stopping made more sense. But Baldwin didn’t really say anything of note beyond saying he’s participating in the investigation, she was his friend, and her family is devastated.

I also don’t think he snapped at his wife and, as a happily married person, I didn’t find that dynamic that notable. Yes, Hilario/Hillary was trying to insert herself and he brushed her off, but their interactions with each other weren’t hostile and he didn’t really seem annoyed with her. I found her annoying but I always do. They really seemed on the same side if not on the exact same page.

The fact that she still does her fake accent even in that situation is AMAZING to me. Like I just cannot believe she is still keeping this up after being outed. Crazy. But she did seem genuine (to the degree she can) in her comments.

Look, most celebrities and especially professional performers don’t have personalities the average person would enjoy. I’ve spent time around many of them for work and they are usually these weird bundles of charisma, ego, vulnerability, insecurity, and confidence. It’s hard to describe. You find yourself drawn to them but also sort of afraid almost, like they are unstable elements. Actors in particular tend to be people who feel things very deeply AND are really self absorbed. None of what AB is doing is out of line for like your average celebrity actor. Given what I know about him, I think he’s probably handling it as well as he is capable. It’s a terrible situation. I’d be dealing with that for the rest of my life. I can’t imagine.

I am a conservative so every reason to not like him but I do feel bad about this whole mess. I disagree about this being feigned sadness. He looks horrible and stressed. He clearly gets that he killed someone. I also think they are crazy in love. She is very protective of him and he with her. This is all so sad. I imagine he is a mess.
