DS is interested in economics and CS, these are his options. Money isn’t a problem, any thoughts? |
Vanderbilt > WasU >= Northwestern. IIRC NW is more of a humanities school |
All roughly equal prestige. Vanderbilt good weather good city, WashU fine weather fine city, Northwestern great city awful weather. |
No, it's has an amazing engineering and CS school. All are excellent schools. I'd go with best fit, if finances are not an issue |
Definition Northwestern among those choices. |
Hope your kid is ready to be labeled an ivy reject for the rest of their life |

northwestern by a mile |
Putting fit aside northwestern. Best econ program and most prestigious by a decent amount |

The locations are different from one another. Doesn’t that mean anything to him? |
Seems like only WashU in top ten, not Vanderbilt nor Northwestern |
I would eliminate Washington U -- because it's in St. Louis.
Vanderbilt seems to lilt more prepster and conservative. Northwestern seems more diverse, with a prime location. |
