How to discretely purchase personal items?

Anonymous
What website do you recommend to discretely purchase personal toys? I am hoping to find a vendor that ensures the package will not only arrive discretely but also ensures I won't start receiving a bunch of catalogs/junk mail that wouldn't be appropriate for my children to see.

Do you pay with gift cards instead of a credit card that is linked to your name?

I’m not the PP, but why on earth would you use gift cards like you’re buying something sketchy? If you want to buy a vibrator, buy one. If you don’t want it delivered to your house, fine, do the locker. But you’re a grown up. If you can’t use your regular payment methods, consider whether you should be buying what you’re buying.

Lovehoney.

Totally discreet, plain packaging when they send you the items (not even the word "Lovehoney" is on the return address, it just has some generic return address). Zero emails from them other than to confirm the purchase. Zero paper catalogues arriving in your mail. Zero weird ads coming up in your browser afterward.

When I order even a book from Amazon I feel like I'm being tracked and my purchase profiled. I wouldn't get any intimate items from them, even with a new gmail and a separate Amazon account. Also, I figure with a lot of things on Amazon, I don't know who the seller really is -- read the tiny print on every item where it says "Sold By" and you'll see a vast range of sellers who may or may not be any good. Just not how I'd want to buy these kinds of items. And setting up and going out to an Amazon locker? I can get things delivered at home with discreet packaging so a locker seems excessive unless your kids grab and open packages as they arrive. Or you don't want your DH to know about these items.

The gift card question makes me wonder if OP wants to hide the purchase from her spouse by keeping the transaction off of the credit card.

OP--? Is that the case?

Just go to a store and pay cash if you have that much to hide.

Depending on what you want, OP, did you know that CVS carries a few sex toys? I was surprised the first time I spotted them. I'm used to seeing them in the equivalent type of drugstore in my DH's home country, but wasn't aware that CVS had some basic vibrators for sale. I think it's great they're out there on the shelves, right by the condoms. But if you want anything more interesting than their limited offerings, you'll need to go to a speciality shop or go online.

in addition to CVS, who is starting to carry a larger selection, many Walmart stores now stock toys as well.
