The PP posted
Except now it turns out that while horrible, it didn't involve the IDF and happened almost 10 years ago, unrelated to the current IDF action in Gaza. And, the PP somehow conveniently left out that the settler responsible for that crime received 3 life sentences from the Israeli court. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/9/15/israeli-handed-3-life-sentences-for-killing-palestinian-family But this is how the PP has been operating from the start - making false accusations, omitting dates and pretending things that happened a decade ago are somehow part of this current Hamas-IDF war when they were not, and leaving out important facts, that in that case of the burned baby, justice was indeed served. Despicable to constantly misrepresent, make false accusations, and distort the facts. |
He hates Israel |
Bibi is a pathological liar, so of course, he would accuse Hamas of doing what Zionists have done. That sort of hypocritical DARVO behavior is typical of the sociopathic. The Deir Yassin story is heartbreaking. An eyewitness describes Zionist terrorists trying to force a baker named Hamed to throw his son into an oven and to "Grill him!" When he refused, they beat him, threw the child into the oven, and threw the father in after him. If you want to see the eyewitness interview, it can be found in the documentary 1948: Creation and Catastrophe at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwy-Rf15UIs, starting at about 24:00. Those saying that Palestinians brought destruction on themselves because of 10/7 need to be careful of the precedent they are setting. Palestinians have endured horrible violence from Zionists, including, as we have seen, children being burned. If 10/7 warranted the current genocide in Gaza, what do all the Deir Yassins and settler terrorism in the West Bank with their rapes, massacres, and burned children warrant? |
| Hamas represents Palestinians what did you expect |
Honestly, that story seems apocryphal. The reason I say that is that in the infamous Hate Wedding video referenced earlier they were chanting a variation of "Grill Ali" and people weren't really into grilling in 1948. We should always remember that both Israelis and Palestinians love to lie about and exaggerate the evil that the other has done to them. |
DP. However, the Israeli police stood by and did nothing while Zionist extremists chanted, "Ali's on the grill!" outside the courthouse in the presence of Ali's grandfather. Lovely people, no? The PP may have been thinking of the child thrown into the oven in Deir Yassin by the Irgun and Lehi terrorist groups, which later merged with the IDF. They tried to make the father throw him in, and when the father refused, they threw him into the oven and the father after him. In terms of killing children, Human Rights Watch issued a demand in August 2023 for an end to Israel's "systematic impunity for unlawful lethal force." HRW reported an increase in the number of Palestinian children killed by the Israeli military and border police. Israeli police are allowed to shoot fleeing children in the upper body if they are believed to have been throwing stones. https://www.hrw.org/news/2023/08/28/west-bank-spike-israeli-killings-palestinian-children Israel was butchering children for a long, long time before 10/7 happened. Some here apparently believe Palestinians should just shut up and die quietly, while Israeli deaths must be avenged many times over. |
And when was the last election? It was 2005. At that time, Hamas ran on a campaign of moderation vs. Israel actually. 50% of the current Palestinian population wasn’t even born yet last time Hamas was elected. |
Palestinians were protesting Hamas in Gaza for three years now including currently and nobody cares and nobody can report it because journalists aren’t allowed or killed by Israel . Nobody cares about Gazans till they’re dead. Not Hamas, not Israel. Palestinians in the West Bank called President Bush and told him to not allow Hamas to even participate in the election but nobody listened. Palestinians did everything they could outside of burn Tel Aviv or Washington to ring the alarm about Hamas. Egypt has killed more Hamas than Israel has in the past few years. What else do you want Arabs to do? This is not their war. It’s Israel’s |
| Netanyahu is the one who represents Israel. That’s why he’s been PM for 20 years. Israelis can say they don’t like him all they want but the fact of the matter is he’s their face |
The overall poll figure has remained steady, but Palestinian support for the Hamas attacks has increased from 57% to 71% in Gaza over the past three months while dipping from 82% to 71% in the West Bank. https://srnnews.com/the-media-line-poll-reveals-persistent-palestinian-support-for-hamas-attacks-on-israel/#:~:text=The%20overall%20poll%20figure%20has,71%25%20in%20the%20West%20Bank. |

| Once the boomers die off in the US, support for Israel in the US is predicted to be much more uneven. That is worrying for Israel and its supporters. Bibi has done lasting damage to Israel’s brand. |

Decades ago. The settler responsible for this action was promptly arrested and sentenced to three life sentences. Because, unlike Palestine, Israel has a functioning legal system and punishes criminal actions against Palestinians (and Israelis). The Palestinians, on the other hand, give out stipends to radicals the kill Jewish Israelis and/or their families, with the amount based on how many Jews are killed and the brutality of the violence. Again, absolutely nobody is saying every Israeli is a lovely, blameless Saint. Nor is anybody saying that the Israeli government is wonderful and every government official is wonderful. I have been one of the most vocal supporters of Israel in this thread, and I have serious issues with the Netanyahu administration (as do most Jews and Israelis, guy will be gone after the conclusion of this war). Ben-Gvar is a monster and has absolutely no place in a functional government. But Israel’s government being a mess has absolutely nothing to do with the current conflict. Unless you believe the batshit crazy conspiracy theories that Netanyahu and co literally conspired with Hamas to initiate 10/7, Israel is reacting in the exact same manner as any other country would in their situation to defend their country, and their residents (both those of Jewish and Palestinian backgrounds). They have outlined the conditions of the war (to return every last hostage - alive or through body retrieval- and to substantially destroy Hamas and Hamas infrastructure). Just 20 years ago, the United States reacted to a very similar national crisis in literally the exact same manner, with the primary difference being that the United States reacted by invading two countries with only a tertiary connection to the organizations responsible for the ent while Israel has limited their offensive to the nation whose government is the organization directly responsible for 10/7. Again, while we are so angry, and sad is not because Israel is a perfect Country whose residents have never committed a single crime against any other nation, but because, and I need to make sure this is very, very clear, there is exactly one singular Country that is primarily ‘Jewish’ in the world, compared to thousands of ‘Christian’ nations, hundreds of ‘Muslim’ nations, and hundreds of nations of various other religions, yet only Israel is treated as if it does not have a right to defend itself, or to react when their citizens are brutalized. It is hard, as a Jew and with an understanding of how common both conscious and unconscious anti-Semitism has historically existed, to believe Israel’s biggest problem is not some supposed overstepping of the ‘rules of war,’ but rather that it is a Jewish nation, with that singular reality (the it is Jewish) justifies this idea that Israel should just sit back and do nothing to defend itself against the genocide of its people by Hamas (and other actors). Like Israel should just be thankful the world lets it survive at all.
