Political Discussion
I watched the video linked above (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwy-Rf15UIs) and honestly don't believe the eyewitness was lying. He was clearly traumatized. We know that Zionist terrorists committed horrible atrocities during the Nakba, and many of them, as veterans of the Irgun, the Alexandroni Brigade, and the IDF, talked about the barbarism perpetrated by their own side. They weren't accusing the Palestinians of anything (in fact, some talked about how nice and peaceful the Palestinians were); they were confessing to what THEIR people did, which included executions, rapes, and stealing from Palestinians. Some of them talked about having to clean up after the massacres. These Israelis talked about many disgusting and barbaric acts that their colleagues committed and that were similar to throwing a child in an oven, such as cutting a fetus out of its mother's abdomen. Throwing a child in an oven wouldn't have been outside the range of gross, horrible behaviors these men reminisced about. You might want to watch the documentary Tantura (available on Amazon), which tells the story of an Israeli historian, Teddy Katz, and his work interviewing dozens of Israeli veterans. Ilan Pappe's book, The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, is another good source. Israel must have excellent reasons for refusing to release the IDF archives from the Nakba. |
Arabs have been grilling meat for centuries. |
WGAF what influentual Muslims are or are not demanding of Hamas? Hamas hasn't slaughtered 30,000 people and caused a famine for millions more. We're way past the point of both-sidesing this. |
Thousands of countries, huh? Thousands? Well, as a matter of fact, there are more like 195 countries in the world. Meanwhile, there are 120 Muslims and 160 Christians for every Jewish person on the planet - so I'd say you're really goddamned lucky to have a country at all. We won't get into the mess right now of how that country was stolen from the native population. For now, the bottom line is that if you are not absolutely repulsed and sickened by Israel's actions not just over the past six months, but of the actions of Zionism over the past 120+ years, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM. Full stop. |

I could never support an ardent depopulation globalist like Netanyahu. Full stop.
I don’t support Hamas either. Both countries are guilty of committing atrocities towards one another. High time to stop taxing American citizens to fund ME insanity. Enough is enough. |
Honestly, just how do you propose they do this? Assuming that they aren’t blinded by hatred of Israel at this point (I mean wouldn’t you be if your were being bombed, orphaned, and made homeless and hungry by IDF?) how can the average Palestinian who is now huddled in a tenant in Rafah, hungry and watching their kids complain of hunger, mourning their dead father/mother/sibling call for the outset of Hamas? They have no platform to call for the female of Hamas. |

Corrected my typos:

They have no platform or energy to call for the removal of Hamas. |

How can this be a surprise? Did you expect that Israel’s punishing response would endear them to the Palestinians people? |
Wrong. Hamas is TOTALLY complicit in the suffering of every Gazan right now. |
Who's surprised? Nobody here expressed surprise. If anything it's disappointing that Palestinians continue to back Hamas even after all of the suffering and heartbreak that Hamas's actions have brought down on Gaza. That polling also reveals that this 71% of Gazans accept the consequences even now that they fully know what the consequences are. As such I don't see why I should concern myself with their stated and chosen fate. |
Were it not for the attack on 10/7, every resident of Gaza would right now still be living in their homes, with food, clean water, power, medical services and functional lives. Hamas took all of that away from them on 10/7. |
I posted this a few pages back but it must have gotten lost in the shuffle or not sunk in: This report is enlightening and does not paint life in Gaza pre 10/7 as all sunshine and rainbows. https://news.stanford.edu...ews-oct-7/ Some key points below: In early October, Arab Barometer, a central resource for quantitative research on Arab countries, completed its most recent survey in Palestine, offering unique insight into the views of Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza just prior to 10/7. The highlights below are sentiments from pre 10/7: About 75% of people living in Gaza said they face food insecurity – nearly a 25% increase from the Arab Barometer’s 2021 survey. Only 23% of respondents said they have a great deal or quite a lot of trust in Hamas; 52% had no trust at all in Hamas. Nearly 80% believed the economic situation in Gaza and the West Bank is bad or very bad. A majority – 56% – believed the country’s economic situation will be somewhat worse or much worse in the coming years. Most Palestinians said their freedom of speech is guaranteed to either a limited or no extent at all. |
Wow, you paint such a lovely picture of life in Gaza! Except for the air, land, and sea blockade. Or the sadistic policy of meticulously limiting food imports to a random standard of minimum calories per person. Or the 120+ years of Zionist terrorism, a history studded with violent theft of the land and personal property of the native population. Or the imprisonment of 2.5M people living in an area with a suitable maximum population density for 120,000 people. Or the 24/7 risk of extrajudicial killing for you and your loved ones for committing such serious crimes as standing with your arms at your side, waiting for delivery of live-saving aid; or escorting your elderly;y mother across a Catholic Church courtyard; or even flowing IDF orders and walking across a street to evacuate your home so that it can be destroyed with a 2,000 lb. bomb. |
Wait, is Hamas making decisions for IDF generals now? The IDF is taking directions from Hamas?! I wasn't aware of this. I was always told that the IDF was one of the best armies in the world with the best strategic minds and most advanced weaponry. I guess it must be true that the IDF is controlled by Hamas since it's done such a crappy and clumsy job finding Hamas leadership and rescuing its hostages. |

One must only read Bezalel Smotrich’s Israeli’s decisive plan and Mein Kampf to understand what is happening right now.
https://hashiloach.org.il/israels-decisive-plan/ Myopic “leaders” take over a country and promise to solve a problem by picking an enemy and demanding their deportation or movement out of the land… sound familiar? Perhaps you may find yourself stating that Smotrich is offering to pay for their movement and not demanding death…. One should recall that “the final solution” was never explicitly defined by the Germans. In fact, most historical references refer to the solution as one involving the mass deportation as the solution to the Jewish question. Something just doesn’t pass the smell test these days and it starts with Bezalel Smotrich. This guy is bad news. Look him up and form your own opinion of the man. |
