There is no other film at the top.
Everything about it is pitch perfect. So quotable! “No Capes!” |
| I agree. Where’s my super suit? |
| I am the greatest good you are ever gonna get! |
| When she passes her reflection and checks out how she looks in her new suit, it is so me! |
| Yes. But I'm a foodie so for me, #1 spot is a two way tie between Incredibles and Ratatouille. |
|
I love WALL-E, Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, and The Incredibles, in that order. The rest of the Pixar movies are good too.
|
| Honestly never got the hype about that movie. Don’t love the look of the characters or some of the voices. For me it’s Monsters, Inc by a mile. |
|
The story by Brad Bird is just incredible. Lol
His best film though is The Iron Giant, but that isn’t Pixar. |
| Lol Edna miles is iconic. The movie is definitely up there, but Toy Story is probably my favorite. |
| Love so much Pixar I won't compare movies. But yes, The Incredibles, well, lives up to its name. Incredibles 2 is also terrific -- the retro design (especially the house with the pool under the floor!) and the musical score are to die for! |
| It’s a very good movie. But Up speaks to me and stays with me in a way that no other movie, whether for kids or adults, does. There’s a friend out there for everyone. And it’s never too late for a second act if you keep your heart open. It’s Ed Asher’s greatest work, and that’s saying something. Also, squirrel! |
If you love Ratatouille, listen to the score on its own. My DH has been on a Ratatouille music jag lately and I think he's listening to the score via YouTube. The orchestral score is just gorgeous, witty, sweet, lush. So much poured into the music for a "mere" animated film. Same goes for both Incredibles movies too, with scores that reference a lot of other spy-movie music so cleverly, but Ratatouille is our favorite score among the Pixar movies. |

Love love love Incredibles and quote it all the time. It is the script that makes it so good. And....now don't kill me but while not Pixar, Megamind is right up there with the brilliance of the script.
Pixar scores are the best. Finding Nemo opening music-- my friend lost her 2 year old and they played that at the beginning of his memorial service. Still haunts me. So beautiful. |
+1. The first 10 minutes has me bawling every time. And I love every second of what follows - the characters, absurdism, all of it. Followed by WALL-E, Finding Nemo, and Inside out. Incredibles is a long way down the list for me. |
| Inside Out for me. And, unpopular opinion, but I’ve seen Cars a hundred times and it’s always enjoyable. |
