| Debating this with a friend. I'm leaning toward no (even thin denim hides my lumps). |
Leaning toward YES, I mean! |
| Yes of course it's appropriate. Please wear your shorts, dresses and skirts. |
| Yes it's absolutely inappropriate. |
| It’s inappropriate to be uncomfortable to please others. Wear what you like OP. I am a fat person ( 185lbs) and wear shorts as soon as it gets warm. Usually they come down to just above my knees. |
| People are just paying nearly as much attention to your body as you think they are, OP. This goes for legs, stomachs in bathing suits, bodies at the gym. Everything. People are waaaaayyyyyyyyyy more concerned about their own jiggle. |
|
Should I also wear a bag over my head? I wouldn't want to offend anyone.

No. It's not inappropriate. What a weird thing to believe. It might not be attractive to all, it might not make you feel very confident, but it's not inappropriate to show your legs as long as the amount of leg showing is appropriate for the occasion and perhaps your age. But that goes no matter what your legs look like.
I'm not going to swelter in pants all summer just to hide my cellulite. Everyone else can deal or look away if they don't like it. |
| It depends on what you consider showing your legs. It’s never inappropriate to show knees down. An obese person in booty shorts or even 4” shorts can be inappropriate unless you’re at the beach. |
| What's inappropriate is the idea that people should cover up so as not to offend other people. |
|
I would say that it depends on the length of the short/skirts. It can be inappropriate for fat or THIN to walk around with their a$$ hanging out. I don't care who you are. Somethings are just trashy no matter your weight.
Tasteful dress/shorts/outfit? Fine for whatever your weight. |
| Show your beautiful stems!!! |
| Men love thick legs. Pass the hot sauce, yum, yum. |
| Be comfy. There are so many styles that will look lovely on you. Find something you feel confident in. No need to sweat it out. |
| I don't have fat legs, but I have spider veins, cellulite and I'm over 50. I wear the damn shorts and so should you. |
