| One of the reasons we’ve heard parents gush about Ashburton was the former principal. With him gone, was wondering what it’s been like? Have a rising first grader who can attend Ashburton next year. |
| I'm curious what was said about him that was so great? |
| Did they name the Acting to be Principal? |
They haven't made the appointment yet. |
It was what he said about himself 🤣 |
That sounds more like it. |
| The school is too big. |

Can we talk about your job performance in an online forum, OP?
Principals and teachers didn’t get into this work to be publicly dissected. Your post here is out of line and rude. If you want to know about the school, go take a tour and talk directly to people who currently attend or work there. Hell, gossip all you want at the local park or pool. But an anonymous forum is not okay. |
All OP said was "One of the reasons we’ve heard parents gush about Ashburton was the former principal. With him gone, was wondering what it’s been like? Have a rising first grader who can attend Ashburton next year." I see nothing out of line or rude about that. |
Nice try. Read the title. And it doesn’t matter what the reason is. OP is asking posters to weigh in on a school principal’s performance in a public forum. Not cool. |
Why is his performance not debatable in public? It’s a public school. |
They're asking what the school has been like this year. It's fine. |
And forecast to get bigger. They should rezone some students within the cluster to Kensington-Parkwood, which has 200 empty seats. |
Wow PP, this has really struck a nerve for you. OP's title asks what the SCHOOL is like. She mentions the new principal because obviously a school's leadership strongly impacts the school itself. If you are not willing to be scrutinized publicly, don't take publicly funded leadership positions. |
| Not the offended PP, but people are so unkind these days, and I can understand why they would be nervous about a thread specifically asking about one individual's impact on a school, especially if they know and/or care about that person. Constructive comments are rare around here. |
