That's the day they run the lottery? So we get results then?

HAHAHAHA...
PGCPS never gets things out that quickly. And for TAG they need to check that the kids that are selected are actually TAG identified so it will take weeks. What school and grade are you looking at?

6th for greenbelt.

At the Glenarden Woods info night, they said they thought we'd know by early April.

That's probably the hardest one to get into..... The majority of the TAG centers get through their waitlist but Greenbelt usually has a waitlist.

Good luck!

Thank you! I'm really hoping we get lucky.

The policy may have changed, but in the past Greenbelt Middle seemed to take nobody in for 6th. Any kid that lives in the Greenbelt district already that has a TAG identified kid automatically gets placed in the TAG program so I think there’s a large number of set aside seats for the neighborhood and not much else. There have been several years where they’ve taken zero students for 6th grade.

This was definitely true a few years ago.

Today is the last day to apply to the TAG lottery if anyone is still on the fence.

Has anyone heard about when they are going to release the lottery results?

On the edges of our seats over here too... We are hoping for a seat in a non-entry year, so we know it's a long shot, but I'd still love to hear!!

What school / grade? A lot of the elementary schools have openings in non-entry years so the odds may be in your favor.
