| In case it’s helpful and if others want to share we make about 300k and got no FA for any school we applied for. |
One kid? Any extenuating circumstances? |
| You should be able to afford 50k, if you have 300k. Come on people |
| OP. Two kids but only one applying for private. One in public. No circumstances. |
Well we can’t. |
| 300k should not get you aid. Either budget to make it work or use public school. |
Not asking for your opinion or judgement. I just know that people have applied for FA at more and less than 300 and was letting people know. |
well, it's really not your decision. |
| Maybe the FA director would be willing to give you some insight? |
Thank you for letting us know - it is helpful. |
And did you expect any? |
| We make the same and got no aid last year. It’s doable for us with some sacrifices. If it’s a priority crunch the numbers and make sure and don’t just knee jerk it. |
Same and we got off the waitlist. Granted, we have 2 kids in private, but it was a very welcomed surprise! A reminder that it never hurts to ask. |
| We make $450k, 3 kids and I debated filing for FA for 2 kids at private, $90k in tuition but then I realized I couldn't possibly be ok with myself asking for help with our income. Private school is a choice |
We make 200K and have one in private. We did not apply for FA. I know I can make the numbers work, so I wouldn’t feel right applying. |
