The body composition restructuring phase is weird.

People here talk about body recomposition changes all the time but I guess I’ve either never experienced it or paid attention, because wow, so weird. I feel like a lumpy mess! My larger, firmer rolls have turned into these smaller, squishier things. I feel like I’m made of kids slime! Tell me it gets better! What is the process like from this to firming up? I am noticing a lot of muscles in places I haven’t felt them in a long time and that feels good. But these soft spots all over my body are just so weird!

LOL, yes, that's how you know it is working! That squishy fat will go away, though, just keep working at it. Exercise and diet, and you'll firm up again. I have noticed that on my belly.

It's wild! It also tricks you with the scale. I lost like 50 pounds going from 210-160 (I'm a 5'3 female) and I'm a size 6/8 but when I put my weight and height/age into a website's estimator it tells me I should be a 12/14. But I have a tremendous amount of muscle because I've been seriously exercising for three years. Kind of bonkers honestly! I have shape I could never IMAGINE having and didn't have until I added strength training to my cardio habits a year or so ago.

I…have no idea what this is referring to. “Body composition restructuring”?

Fat —> muscle

If your body recomposition seems to be working can you share what you are doing?

Are you male or female, and how much do you lift? I did about 2 years of strength and only really saw visible changes in my neck and shoulders.
