Developing Tween DD and rashguard question

Anonymous
DD 11 will wear a Speedo style girls swimsuit for swim team practice and meets but for rec swimming either indoors or outdoors in the summer she likes wearing boys swim shorts with a rashguard. Hasnt been an issue til now but now there is definitely development happening in the chest area I’m not sure what to do. Should she wear a bikini type top under the rashguard? Do they make rashguards with thicker material in the chest area for this? If so what brand?

Have you asked her what she wants to wear this summer?

I haven’t… I’m hoping to have suggestions before bringing it up. We’re going to Caribbean for spring break so needs to come up before the summer. I don’t want to suggest something if they don’t make it.

All you need is a sports bra or a sports-bra style swim top. Honestly, it probably doesn't need padding or anything, just some kind of top.

+1 Just get her a sports bra made with quick drying fabric.

Same.

You might also take a look at https://www.humankindclothing.com/. I think they also have a line Target sells.

You wear a swim too under the rash guard. That’s what adult women (myself included) do.
