Republicans in Congress wearing AR-15 pins.

What is the rationale for this? If you are Republican, do you supports this? And NO, you can't say it's only MAGA then point to McCarthy as a mOderAte. He's the leader and can shut this down.

"This is what Fascism looks like today. An allegiance to violence over country. This is a declaration of war on the American people. They don't care how many children die. They only care about power." --Ruth Ben-Ghiat

Is this how they show they have new sponsors?

Even if you are supporter of the 2nd amendment and all about gun rights, what’s the point of doing this? It’s insulting to the families who lost loved ones in shooting massacres to nuts with AR-15s.

It shouldn’t be an insult to anyone except those advocating using force of law and police violence to take lawfully owned rifles away from Americans who legally own them.

The AR-15 is THE most common long gun/rifle in America. There are more AR-15’s than there are minivans on the road. These pins make it clear to everyone they stand against disarming the American people. I support that.

when these guns are outlawed they get rid of most of them with a buy back program so relax and stop spouting nonsense. no one is coming to forcibly take your precious gun. most will sell it when they realize it is good for nothing and they would rather have the cash.

And Santos is a garbage representative by all accounts so anything that crook does should be viewed with high suspicion.

It’s certainly a conversation starter. As in “what is that” and “why are you wearing it”.
But the more interesting question is why?
Is the GOP advocating for an AR-15 in every pot? Are they genuinely not horrified by the almost daily massacres we are witnessing? Do they honestly believe that unfettered access to guns is making our country safer?

Have we all forgotten what we learned during the Trump years? They love the chaos. The more instability, the better. They want more violence, more despair. The more grieving and broken families, the better. Safe, happy people have time to organize and pay attention to what matters, and they GOP and their puppetmasters don’t want that.

Massacres and beheaded six year olds are simply collateral damage for these sickos. So no they don’t care. They would never even consider trading a gun for the life of one baby. Not in a million years. “Pro-life” my ass.

I’m pro-choice.

I choose to own AR-15’s. You’re free to choose not to.

The Heller decision made it abundantly clear that guns “in common use” are protected by our Constitution. I’m not really sure you can cite a rifle more common than an AR-15. There is an AR-type rifle in more than 10% of American households. They aren’t going anywhere.

It’s disgusting and psychotic.

Honestly, where do you come up with this stuff? Do you understand how absolutely bat guano crazy it sounds to people outside the super progressive bubble you dwell in? For your own sake, so strangers you meet won’t think there’s something wrong with you, exercise some introspection regarding your rhetoric.

Do you realize you and yours look to anyone outside of *your* bubble? People outside of the US especially are horrified with the obsession with guns and gun massacres in this country.
