So what are some good country songs that I can play for someone who refuses to like country. Needs to be upbeat/fun. Some songs that I plan to play are below so maybe use these as a baseline...
5 O'Clock Somewhere Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) Wagon Wheel Cruise When the Sun Goes Down Boondocks Pontoon Chicken Fried |
One Margarita fool |
One of them girls |
“Refuses to like”? I “refuse to like” death metal, and playing death metal for me isn’t going to change that. Same with country music. |
Thats a fun list!
Blue jean barefoot night Days Go By Body like a back road My Church Friends in Low Places Stuck Like Glue |
A less 'country' country band like Lady Antebellum |
Agree with this, or anything by Garth Brooks really. I am not a country fan but his was still one of the best concerts I have ever attended. |
The Garth Brooks Greatest Hits album was my intro to country. I think he appeals to a huge variety of listeners.
I don't like a lot of "radio country" about trucks and cutoffs but I like Reba, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, the [Dixie] Chicks, bluegrass, and crossover artists. |
Wagon Wheel needs to go away. So overplayed. |
Somebody Like You — Billboards Country song of 2000-10 decade. (Followed by Cruise I think for 2010-20. But Cruise and Body Like a Backroad make my ears bleed). Also Keith Urban, Blue Ain’t Your Color is one of my all time all genre favorites. |
Nah, you can get a non country person to like a few songs. Just as I enjoy some death metal. Pantera is coming to town. Look them up. |
OP Here. Thanks! Added. |
1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi 3 shots of whiskey |
I actually have Body Like a Back Road and Stuck like Glue on the playlist. I like Friends in Low Places and Garth in general but I don't think Garth is on Spotify. Just listened to Blue Jean Barefoot Night and added it. I think we are on the same page! : ) PS: I'm not a big country fan. I'm more of a Rock guy but I'm just trying to get my buddy to stop being such a hater. : ) |
Walk Through This World with Me (by George Jones) ; You need to listen to all the words, plus his voice!
