Sounds like you are trying really hard to spin a narrative here. |
Lively was one of the original Soho House girls in LA and has tried to move beyond the D listers who didn't make it. But she gets dragged back in like a recent baby shower for one of the LA execs. |
DP. Lively's reputation as someone who was endorsed by and helped along by Weinstein throughout the first decade plus of her career is not based on one photo. Lively was in several Weinstein produced films and was close to him for years, doing plenty of public appearances. She did ultimately condemn his behavior after the fact but unlike other prominent actresses who worked with I'm over the years (Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, and others), Lively never said she saw his bad behavior and maintained that "if she had known," she would have spoken up but claimed his behavior was well hidden. This strains credulity a bit because Weinstein's "casting couch" behavior was a well known issue within Hollywood for years -- agent warned clients about it, and even actresses who barely interacted with him encountered it. I think she accepted his behavior as normal and didn't necessarily view it as a problem, and only later had to pivot to "oh yeah what a terrible shame, but I never saw it." This was at the same time as many actresses were sharing difficult personal stories of their experiences with him that were personally embarrassing or upsetting to put out there. So it has led some to wonder if Lively is being totally honest about not having known about it. |
Blake and her husband also employ numerous of these "low life sorts" who are paid to "spew their bile" and destroy people. Just like everyone else in Hollywood. It's fascinating to see this spun as Baldoni and his PR team doing something that isn't commonplace in Hollywood. The NYT's piece exposing the texts and emails from and between his PR team even went out of it's way not to mention the PR outfit that employed those particular flaks (likely as part of an agreement with the firm not to mention it by name even though that's the company who was hired by Baldoni in the first place. They are trying to make it seem like "a few bad apples." It's the whole industry, including Blake and Ryan's team. This is how Hollywood PR works. And it's terrible! But the idea that Lively is an innocent victim of it and not someone who has paid people for years to undertake these same tactics on her behalf is so rich. |
One photo lol. More like her entire career. She is talentless. |
I don't see it that way at all. I'm sure it happens all the time. There are so many things that pop up out of nowhere that suddenly "everyone" agrees on and are clearly astroturfed. This one is catching attention because there is proof. They suspected it, they got the text messages from the PR firm, and the messages were a freaking goldmine including meta-commentary from the PR morons saying "we can't put this in writing" while putting it in writing. We don't normally get to see the inside track that confirms out suspicions, so that's interesting and fun. |
Are they destroying people about to expose their sexual harassment? |
Nope - not PR and have no personal opinion onBL. But I am disgusted by the misogynistic assumptions and narratives around this and other cases that take down successful women. Referring to her as HW’s whore is typical online misogyny so I double checked whether she had any association with him and this is what I found. |
And they never thought those would see the light of day, even on company devices, until Abel stupidly pissed off her boss. What a moron. Her ex-boss sold her out. These people are not as savvy as they think they are. |
Sure. But you don't know what Blake's own team is saying this week about how well they've good and hosed Baldoni. If you don't think there are celebratory texts and emails right now congratulating themselves for getting the online chatter to run the other way, you are incorrect. And if you assume "well yeah but they are working for the good guys so it's okay".... well you've bought right into a narrative someone else sold you without realizing it. Lively and Reynolds are not the good guys here. There are no good guys. |
You posted random gobbldygook. HW is a creep, and women who castigate women for being in his presence are turds |
PP. I don't disagree that they've curated the best image possible for their client and timed it to their advantage and are gloating about it. Filing a lawsuit with the appropriate records cited, though, is different than trying to attack a person's character based on digging up old interviews and things that had nothing to do with the topic, and hiring trolls to attack that person. She's suing Baldoni, so she, by necessity, has to include the negative information in her filing, and the information is relevant to her case. It's hard to tell if it goes beyond that at this point. If someone did a deep dive and found that negative stories were popping up about him for the last month or two, unrelated to this, then that would definitely arouse similar suspicions. |
If Lively's team could find old interviews with Baldoni or old stories that would make him look bad, they would 100% be spreading those around. In fact I guarantee they are, as we speak, trying to dig up if Baldoni has ever been accused of anything even mildly inappropriate or hurtful on any of his previous projects and if he did, we will find out about. The fact that there is nothing out there yet indicates it might not exist, which is interesting. Nothing that has been circulating about Lively has been untrue or an unfair assessment of her behavior. She was a jerk in that interview with the fashion reporter. She really did respond to questions about DV survivors with sarcasm and jokes during the promotional tour for It Ends With Us. She really did promote her haircare line and alcohol brand during the promo. Those were the things that had social media up in arms about her this summer and while I have no doubt Baldoni's people encouraged that chatter, it was also true and based on Lively's own bad behavior. BTW this is not the first time Lively has accused someone less powerful than her of sexual harassment on a set. She once got a makeup artist fired because, Lively claimed, he filmed her while she was sleeping (this was never substantiated and it's not clear why Lively thought it had happened) and she thought it was inappropriate that he used his finger to apply makeup to her lips (that sounds unsanitary but I also think it's not that uncommon with makeup artists who, presumably, wash their hands. The MA was fired but the production gave him a recommendation and Lively then complained about that -- she wanted the makeup artist blackballed. Again, the claims against him were pretty thin and not substantiated. There's no evidence that he ever filmed Lively at all much less while she was sleeping, and the thing about the makeup application sounds trumped up at best. |

Beyond what is in her complaint what negative stories are there about Baldoni? What dirt has been dug up on him that trolls are spinning that is outside of what is happening currently? This isn't a both sides situation no matter how many times you try to compare them. |
