You may be right about that, but it does not change the fact that the boys side is still really weak and no Loudoun boys are going to FVU after this news. So it will take a miracle for FVU to exist after next season. Then we are dealing with these whole shenanigans again next year. |
![]() Change already happened on the website. Why take it down… catz out the bag and already got ran over by the charter bus we never booked for away games |
BP and Arlington will be eating from the buffet line for the foreseeable future if fvu fails. I think they will be fine. Not all the boys can play mlsn next or next-1. Who know maybe some rich womens soccer player will start her own ecnl club with an indoor facility. One can dream right?! For now lets continue w the fkery on this awesome press rollout |
Your cheeks are so tight right now that the escaping air may blow out the candle you are holding to compare leagues. Comparison is weak at best, just see what Surf and PDA does and all the changes could happen poof in one season. |
+10 |
PDA and SLSG are next up. MLS Hammer incoming. Do you think SLSG wants to give up all of their MLSN revenue to Lou Fusz? |
yooooooooooo screaming if BP is really trolling on here. |
What you don't understand is that you're comparing numbers of an established entity (ECNL) to 4yrs of GA. If your kid is already in their recruiting cycle, then obviously it makes no sense to move them to the GA environment. Your unwillingness to accept that the landscape is changing and will look completely different for girls 2010 and younger over the next few years is the problem. Having coaches that were paid to show up to an event to see where they know the current talent is isn't something to brag about. It's a no brainer for the moment. In THIS area, NVA leaving ECNL has shifted the future strength of girls soccer to the GA. I don't know what year your kid is, but anyone with access to the internet can look at the current standings and see that 2010 and above ECNL holds the torch in this area compared to GA. Younger than that is where the change exists. McLean's 2013s are top 10 in the country. Loudoun's 2013s aren't far behind, nor SYC. That makes the top 3 2013 teams GA in this area. SYC's 2012s beat both Union and dominated Arlington. NVAs 2012s are #1 in the Mid Atlantic which means that if the teams hold together, the top 2 teams at that age group in the DMV will be GA teams. If Alexandria is added in, that likely makes 3 of the top 4 (unions 2012s are solid and ASA has already beaten Arlington in a scrimmage). So by all means look out for your kid's best interest, but don't go putting your head in the sand. |
your 2012s They will soon belong to us…. ![]() |
Ron Howard (narrator): The teams did not hold together. |
GA just got a bunch of those magical talented ECNL players. Doesn’t that improve GA talent in this area? Yes ECNL still has more but the gap is closing. |
why is everyone assuming the girls are staying. The creme of the crop will bounce. Some extreme parents (who may be dealing with external DODGEY pressures may even leave the area for better futbol. |
So many bad things have occurred at this club over its 2 years of NVA. Board should just clean house. |
Dear ECNL,
I need to express something, and while a letter felt like my only option due to our distance, I hope you know I am writing this with a sad heart. I would be lying if I said I had not hoped for our relationship to work out. When we met, I sincerely believed you were it. Yet, over the past few months, I have come to realise that we have grown apart. The distance between us is like a barrier. We don’t see each other as often as I think we need to, for this relationship to last. I just need more. Love, NVA |
Keep clutching your u12 and u13 rankings. Things change. Players grow and players quit. Your blind faith in NVA is interesting considering they have more resources than any club in virginia other than Arlington and they’re still an embarrassment. |
