Navy Elementary New Principal

The amount of hate he has dealt with from the day he started is astonishing. We sat at our orientation the week before school even started to hear the teachers insert snide remarks throughout the entire presentation with regards to their new leader. You were able to speak to his character after just one week?

Then someone decided to send a very calculated email asking parents to speak out against the principal citing exaggerated safety concerns (now completely debunked). Certain parents called the police to the school then cried that the principal wasn’t transparent.

Now when parents are asking staff or their reps for reasons why they are upset, it’s been crickets even after 1000+ posts. You can’t blame ppl for having opinions as to why ppl feel a certain way about him. We are a diverse community and most of us know what to think when “feelings” about someone from the start are not backed up with facts.

This is so well written and articulately lays out the drama that has been going on for the past year. Unlike the other post that says, "Youre stupid. The end."

Exactly! Their plans are being exposed and they are no resorting to last ditch attacks to revive their cause. They thought they would be welcomed as heroes instead they are now looking like the villains.

Is anyone wondering why gum is being requested for the teacher appreciation week breakfast??

Hi! Great question. Tracy here 😀 We thought putting baskets of gum for staff to take would be a fun treat. We did it previously with some silly pun I can’t recall but the majority of the staff enjoyed having free gum. Personally, I like to have gum or mints after coffee.

Keep the questions coming, I’m happy to answer anything or you can reach out directly to me directly at navyptotsaw@gmail.com. I welcome any ideas and feedback from our community on the rough plan…teamwork makes the dream work!

Can we also maybe add some other items to the breakfast besides just bagels? Such as donuts, muffins, fruit, or yogurt?

Apologies for not responding sooner!

Having a wide variety of food is a great suggestion! I’ll add more options to our volunteer donation signup.

I can respond faster if anyone sends a message to navyptotsaw@gmail.com

Thanks! Also I think adding juices would be nice.

Learned a lot from this thread. I received that email as well, which misled me to some actions that I should not have done--I forwarded it to some other Moms, thinking there were security concerns at school. Guess I'll need to observe more in order to have my own judgment. What a lesson to myself!
