The President retains his clearance and can declassify anything he wants. And did. Publicly stated.

At this point, a huge percentage of the American people do not, and will not, believe anything that's said.

If he had declassified all of it there would be a proper paper trail, and he still couldn’t take them with him because they’re the property of the U.S. Government.

He stated that he was declassifying all of it. Publicly. To the American public. And if that wasn't done, who's fault is that? Legal dragged their feet. They didn't follow through. You best tell Obama he wasn't allowed to take papers because he told a TON of pages

You don’t just tweet something saying you’re going to declassify it. There’s a process. If the “best people” in your administration don’t follow up, they’re not declassified. And there’s also a different process that Obama and every other President has followed when legally procuring Presidential records for their libraries. Trump didn’t do any of this.

This is not correct. Trump sought to declassify TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMISSIBLE certain documents pertaining to the Crossfire Hurricane investigation as contained in a binder provided to DOJ and DNI. The FBI and intelligence community raised objections to the declassification and it therefore did not occur. Additionally, Trump tweeted about declassifying the entirety of the Mueller Report but when Judge Reggie Walton made an inquiry about whether this constituted an official presidential order, Mark Meadows advised the court that it did not.

None of their stupid noise matters anyway, since there is a PROCEDURE and PAPER TRAIL to declassify stuff.

Which Trump obviously did not do.

Move on. Next.

You don't believe Meadows? You know better than he does, of course.

Obviously nothing to see here!

Declassification is a red herring. Trump knowingly violated the Presidential Records Act and refused to return the materials. Period. Open and shut.

What's the Crossfire Hurricane investigation?

Oh no, the classified status of the documents is important. Dangerously so.

So, not Crossfire Hurricane related at all.

A federal judge ordered Meadows to consult with Trump and advise the court if his tweet was to be treated as a declassification order. Meadows advised the court that it did not declassify the materials. Trump is estoppel from now arguing to the contrary without admitting he committed a fraud on the court.

Well this keeps getting better and better?

TO WHOM DID THE BOZO SELL OUR NUCLEAR SECRETS?!?

Saudis? Putin? Is this why the guy seems so sure to win in Ukraine, even though he's now emptying his prisons and sending murderers to be cannon fodder?

Looking forward to the contortions on why he stole stop secret nuclear weapons information.
