Shows to watch when I just need to escape

I am going through an incredibly awful time right now with my teenager and am looking for an upbeat or interesting show to take my mind off things (because the rest of the time I am doing therapy, research, filing insurance claims, talking to doctors, coordinating care etc. etc. etc. I like British/PBS type it shows.

I have enjoyed the Durrels of Corfu, All creatures great and small, the Crown (not upbeat but I liked it), Victoria, Friday night dinners, Mum And some mysteries like Endeavor and Grantchester. I also quite enjoyed Australian shows like A place to call home and Offspring, although it does have family drama,

If you like British shows, you've probably already seen them, but the 1980s Miss Marples and Poirot (Agatha Christie) are well done with a great cast and a lot of money spent on the settings.

My teen just sent my blood pressure to new heights today, so I feel you.

I am currently watching Ms. Scarlet and Duke for just this purpose! Period murder investigations in Victorian London, with the twist that it's a female investigator. Not gory, and romantic and professional tension between her and the police inspector.

PS: he's not really horrible, but his severe ADHD makes him self-sabotage in the most heartbreaking way. He pissed off another teacher today and messed up the end of a semester-long project right on the day of the presentation. Grrr.

What about Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee where Jerry Seinfeld gets coffee with famous people?

I love standup comedy and Hasan Minhaj's latest special on Netflix is great.

If you want a really low key but charming show check out the Detectorists! If you are ok with a rom com series about 20 something friends trying to figure out their lives a little try Lovesick.

First two seasons were a light, fun watch but I find season 3 completely unwatchable.
