Middle school boy wearing pink tutu to school as a regular outfit. Thoughts? |
I wouldn’t let a middle school girl wear a tutu to school not sure why a boy should be any different. |
If he doesn't care, why do you? |
I'm laughing out loud and so will everyone else. Just prepare your little princess for that reaction. |
I'd think, I love a kid who enjoys expressing himself! |
As someone else's parent, I really wouldn't care, OP. But if I were his parent, I'd worry about teasing or bullying. |
Why not? If they are wearing their regular clothes underneath. Beats pajama pants |
I’m here for it. |
No middle school boy wears a tutu to class without knowing exactly what he’s doing. He’s not likely to be blindsided by teasing, because he’s doing it for the attention. |
Literally no thoughts about this. I can't imagine caring. |
Wouldn't let a boy or a girl do that unless it's a spirit day. Even a girl would get bullied and made fun of. |
Look how evolved I am! |
Fine if the kid is prepared for teasing/aware they look “weird” Provided there willing to own that/if it’s not my kid, don’t care. |
I’m ok with it. If he’s kind and generally a nice kid I’d be happy for my kid to be friends with him. So many MS kids are jerks that a tutu is the least of my worries. ( mom of a 5th grader going to MS next year) |
I've lived in San Francisco a long time apparently - I had to read this twice to try to figure out what the problem is. DD had a friend wear a onesie to school every day for a month. Kids would wear a cape or a tail. Nobody cares here. It's okay to be weird, and self-expression is fine as long as it doesn't endorse violence, drugs, or hate speech. |
