| I used toasted rolled oats. Put in a bowl with milk, shaved almonds, and sliced strawberries. Leave in fridge overnight |

| TJ's has a bunch of oatmeal options. Steel cut is suppose to be better for you. Stay away from the instant, too much sugar. We like walnuts, raisins and brown sugar. |
| Trader Joe's frozen Steelcut Oatmeal is so good! Just microwave for about 4 min. Then I add bananas, blueberries and chia seeds. |

I highly suggest using rolled oats instead of quick, and I also suggest you add a protein source, nuts or nut butter for example, to balance the carbs.

You could also add an egg in it or egg whites. Just temper them first and stir continuously for a few minutes . You can’t taste egg |

I use 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/4 cup steel cut, 3 cups water (or milk, or some combination of either to equal 3 cups). While it isn’t quick cooking, you literally dump the oats and water in a pan, turn heat to medium low and come back in 25 min. Makes 3 servings.
I like to add walnut or cashew milk and some crushed walnuts and a bit of brown sugar to my bowl. |

gluten free instant Quaker oatmeal
time : about 3 minutes if I microwave the water but I do the stove version. About 5 minutes. Aside from being truly gluten free, the oats are smaller and easier for me to swallow. |

Classic rolled outs. Put 1/2 cup in a bowl with 1 cup water and some salt. Microwave for 1.5 minutes. Pull it out and put a lid (or just a plate) on top of it for a couple more minutes. Add a tb of real maple syrup.
Optional yummy toppings: blueberries, roasted salted almonds, roasted sunflower seeds. |

Add to pot - banana ( more over ripe the better), splash of vanilla, pecans chopped, pinch of salt Bring to boil, add oats ~ Cook 5 mins Serve with a bit of milk and a splash of maple syrup |
