| It seems that this genre has died after Hunger Games and Divergent. Has anything good come out lately in this type of world? |
| Margaret Atwood - Oryx and Crake and two sequels. |
|
Does it have to be a series? And does it have to be recent?
The Road by Cormac McCarthy Station 22 by Emily St John Mandel I could go on... |
Please do. |
| The Lunar Chronicles |
Station 11, not 22 |
Yeah that's called a typo. I'm so glad you raised it as an issue though, shows what a deep thinker you are and what you have to contribute.

| Dune |
| The Parable of the Sower-Octavia Butler |
|
The Children’s Bible

I'm not the PP who corrected the title but IMO the correction is legit. There was not attitude in that post and you totally overreacted. |
At the risk of offending the poster, can you tell me what these are about. I know I could go on Goodreads or whatever and find some brief summaries but I thought it could be more informative if people didn't just name titles but also gave why they thought it was a good book. |

NP.
Station 11 was boring AF. The Road was haunting story of a family’s survival in a post-apocalyptic world. It was very raw and powerful. |
Correcting any OBVIOUS typo is anal. |
| I second Station 11. I read Tender is the Flesh earlier this year and recommend though it’s not for the squeamish as it deals with cannibalism. The ending is 10/10. I have Severance on my list as well. |
