So how do people get away with this, when there are cameras everywhere?
Someone wrote on the school sign by the road, "Jews not welcome." |
| I have no idea. Who is doing it - teens? How are they not getting caught? |
| Man, I would be worried more about the disturbed psycho more than the anti semitism, |
|
Well gee not like MOCO police are on top of this.
They don't give a shit. This has happened before at Whitman. UGH it's only going to get worse. Republicans are going to continue this utter crap for a long time. Clearly they stand with Space Lazer MTG and Nick Fuentes so their subjects are spewing and getting more emboldened by the day. Given so called "regular" Republicans don't give a shit it will get worse. And my orthodox family and so called friends they will come for you too. |
| I live in bethesda and really have a hard time believing this represents a larger trend in the community. I suspect it is either a couple disturbed people or someone coming in from outside the community trying to stir up trouble. I wish they’d catch the person or people as I feel like this is probably a warning sign of someone who is disturbed and will go on to more dangerous behavior like a shooting incident or hate crime. |
Seems like an appropriate initial response from the police: https://www2.montgomerycountymd.gov/mcgportalapps/Press_Detail_Pol.aspx?Item_ID=42598 |
| The police can't be everywhere all the time. It sounds like it happened overnight. Whitman is on a street that's relatively quiet at night. |
| I think it’s probably a student because Whitman did a onewhitman lesson about antisemitism on December 14. I’m glad Whitman is addressing these hate behaviors and sending out strong messages. I hope Pyle talks to students about what happened. |
Agreed. If this was anti-Black racism, it wouldn’t be as hard to believe this is a larger trend in the community, but we’re talking about anti-Semitic graffiti in an area that has numerous Jewish families. That is surprising and probably limited to a few disturbed people. |
| Perhaps, but there is more and more of it in a place where I never thought it would be. And they aren't catching these vandals/hate crime artists, so we don't know |
| To Jewish people in the community, please know that I and so many others stand with you and are saddened and angered by these attacks. I am so sorry. |
Another hate crime at a W? big shock (not really since it happens 12345 times a year) |
Yes! Good people must be louder than the haters. We must communicate better and work together to put an end to the hate. Whoever did this doesn’t speak for this community. We also have to teach our children to do the same. |
Than you! |
| Agree! We stand with you and respect and cherish you in our community. |
