I align with JH politically in many ways and still find her insufferable. For me it’s not the politics. It’s the way she monetizes everything, including her friends’s birthday party. The way she serves up private family moments for public consumption and capitalistic gain. It’s the shallow fame seeking and the constant name dropping and the bottomless well of self-aggrandizement. That’s where I think she has gone completely off the rails from her earlier years as a writer.

I think her kids are stuck between two very shallow, self-absorbed parents who have engaged in dueling midlife crises for the past few years. Both of the Hatmakers seem to have an unhealthy need to be envied and admired by the invisible masses on the intenet.

Exactly this. I’ve only voted Democrat so it’s not the politics at all that bothers me. It’s the shallow, fake posturing and monetizing “service” to her “tribe” all day, every day.

We 100% know Big Sass reads these threads. He’s come on and posted big sassy posts totally in his big sassy voice.

Carroll alleged Trump raped her 40 years ago but isn’t sure of the year. She came forward when he announced his intention to run again.

The jury didn’t convict him of rape but he judge wanted to convict him of something so made a ruling on a lesser charge. I’m a SA survivor and think we should believe women. I also intensely dislike Trump.

All that said, it looks like there are a way too many people out there who need to do their own research instead of blindly accepting the narrative de jour we’re being fed. Half the people calling him a rapist probably couldn’t come anywhere close to being able to give an intelligent recap of that trial and choose to keep parroting the same canned narrative. There’s a reason MSNBC is tanking.

Not liking a candidate is one thing. Blindly accepting something as true because a liberal pundit or a celebrity says so is part of why we’re in the shape we’re in
