Anyone watching Season 2 of My Unorthodox Life?

It seemed like Silvio's relationship with Julia's children came out of nowhere. Also they are mainly adults living at his home, except for the oldest son.

Julia got painfully thin. Scary to look at.

I can't get over how narcissitic Julia is and how unhealthy her relationship with Miriam is in the first episode. I also think Batsheva is living in a dream world. All of her opportunities are from her stepfather's company. I really am going to miss Ben. He and Robert made the show for me. I read that Julia's first husband had a lot of financial issues when they were married. Silvio is now engaged to a socialite who runs a very dated website Old Fashioned Mom. Her name is Michelle-Marie Heinemann. She seems like a WASPy version of Julia. Her kids are also younger.

Yes, she is incredibly gaunt. It is obvious she is suffering from mental health issues. Her daughters are very petite and they look massive compared to her (and they are very thin and athletic looking/healthy).

There is a whole thread about Season 1. I had commented on that thread that I felt he hated her kids and considered them moochers - which they are. You can totally tell he can't stand them

I can see why Silvio isn't into it. There's a big difference between marrying an adult with adult children and expecting to spend holidays / vacations etc with them and regular calls or visits but mainly have a "children have launched" household versus one where multiple adult children are living and the parent's life still entirely revolves around the "children"

Does anyone know if she still lives in that penthouse today? And where do the kids live now?

And, Robert's BF doesn't have a job? Feel like he may be taking advantage of Robert. Wanted to get a piece of that Silvio money. Guess he got a rude awakening

Interesting he went for another woman who seems to fully enmesh themselves in the role of MOM. Just go date a woman with grown and functional adult children if you're wanting that phase of life yourself (which is understandable!)

Julia’s breast implants are awful. That plastic surgeon needs to apologize.

Yes, the text that Miriam read to me didn't seem off. I would not want my home infiltrated with adult, some married children, as well as my work place. The text Silvio sent to Miriam seemed genuinely concerned that Ciara was using the penthouse as a hotel. I have no issues with an adult child having a romantic or sexual relationship, but it would be pretty weird in my world for their girlfriend or boyfriend to just be hanging around.

I have a lot of friends who got married to partners in their 40s or 50s with children from a previous relationship and had a lot of issues. One friend divorced, another wrote a book about her relationship, another is very open that she really struggles with her husband's relationship with his children, that they are always his priority, that his ex-wife is so involved in their life even now, etc. So I don't think Silvio seems off base.

Did someone just say that Robert's boyfriend is unemployed? What is Robert doing now for a job?

The oldest son, Schlomo and the youngest son Aron don't seem to be moochers. Just Batsheva and Miriam--and Ben and Miriam's flavor of the week (she seems to constantly have a new dater which is normal given her age, however the intensity of her relationships seems off to me).

Silvio's new fiancee's website: https://www.oldfashionedmom.org/

It is a throw back to 2010

I cab’t understand what’s happening with this website…

Also, it’s odd that Silvio is dating a woman with young kids. Does he expect them to parent themselves?

The mooching of these adult kids is off the rails. Shlomo doesn’t seem to work, as he just graduated from Columbia Univ last year at age 26 with his bachelors.

How the hell are these kids attending Stanford and Columbia? I’m guessing that was Silvio’s money opening doors for them.

Silvio saw his edit last season and realized he was being played for a fool, having to beg for awkward kisses from Julia. So cringe and pathetic. He got played.

Agree, especially when they flashback to season 1.
