Several posters have reported this thread due to the source of the story. Here is a copy of the summons from Hennepin County:

Unless someone has done a pretty good job of forging that document, this should be sufficient evidence that the story is correct.

That’s really weird. He should not be in charge of anything.

+1

This isn’t difficult, OP. Just because Republicans think they and their party are above the law doesn’t mean that the Democratic Party does. Have his court case, serve his time if he’s found guilty and evaluate from there.

No one does this the first time in their life as an SES.

I guarantee they have done this a dozen+ times and never got caught. Such an idiot for doing this while in an SES position. DHS and FAA can easily cross reference their flight history and look for other stolen baggage reports on the same day. If there’s video surveillance footage, this person is truly f#cked.

My theory is that they were stealing nicer suitcases with women’s clothes, hoping to get some designer apparel. It would be crazy is someone with a theft complaint see their clothes or identifiable jewelry on his person. Tons of photos and videos of this person in media and social media; wouldn’t be too difficult to make the connection.

That is a bizarre story in the court docs.

But isn't it lovely that you have a whole forum of people who simply write off a source

Why on earth would you say "if". The woman viewed the survelliance footage and identified the suitcase as her's per the article.

Yep. Turns out some right wing sources lie.

Shocking, I know.

Here is the difference between GOP and Dems.

As a Dem, if she is charged and convicted, then she should pay for her crime or crimes. It is clear from the video that they will have a hard time proving their innocence.

Will the GOP say the same thing about the hundreds of their political leaders and elected offiicials?

Post sources that don’t read like a gossip mag made for teens if you want to be taken seriously.

Brinton — who serves as the DOE's deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition — allegedly took a Vera Bradley suitcase worth $2,325 from the luggage carousel at the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport (MSP) on Sept. 16, according to a criminal complaint filed on Oct. 26 in Minnesota state court and obtained by Fox News Digital. Brinton had traveled from Washington, D.C., to MSP that day.

After the suitcase's owner alerted police, officers reviewed video surveillance of the carousel and identified Brinton taking the luggage before removing its tag identifying the owner, the court filings stated. Law enforcement observed Brinton using the luggage during at least two other trips to Washington, D.C., on Sept. 18 and Oct. 9.

So, this senior official (1) knowingly ripped a tag off the luggage on camera, (2) stole the luggage, and (3) used it multiple times again on camera. Weird and illegal.

This guy is a nut and shouldn't be anywhere near a Government job.
