What happened to this California family?

This case happened so close to the Dario Dizdar/Angela Tramonte situation that I wonder if something similar happened.

I would never leave my dog behind to die alone.

Darwinism for dog owners.

I’d rather die with my dog than live with sh1theads like you.

The point is that the dog could have been left behind in a shady spot to rest, while the rest of the family got the baby to safety and got help. Obviously they would rush help to the dog.

Were there any shady spots after the fire?

Oh yeah. The police officer took a woman on a first-time date and abandoned her halfway through the hike when she complained of heat exhaustion.

“They started hiking together around 10 am with no water but split up. The boyfriend stated that he was a local and did this hike all the time and she was going to go as far as she could and turn around,” according to an incident report filed by the park ranger.

Dizdar also waited until 2.5 hours after they split up at their hike to call 9/11 and report her missing. Turns out he asked her on the date under false premises - he was married with kids.

I did a quick Google but this sounds crazy. They started hiking at 10, he reported her missing at 1pm and they found her dead? Was it worse because her body was used to Massachusetts and not acclimated to the Phoenix area? Seems crazy that just a few hours of being alone could kill a healthy young woman.

Exact same temperatures and terrain (no tree coverage and rocky) as the California family too.

Brubaker said he remembered seeing Tramonte earlier, and asked how she was doing when they passed on the trail. Tramonte responded, “‘It’s too freaking hot, I’m turning around … We didn’t bring any water today,'” Brubaker said. He also said Tramonte did not appear to be in serious trouble and was in relatively good spirits. She did not ask for any water or help, he said.

He claims she told him to go to the top to get pics for her Instagram.

I’m confused though, it seems like there were other people hiking the trail on this day, including that big group of bachelor party people. People spotted her when she was on her way back. How could nobody have seen she was in trouble and why was she found off the trail?

How long is the hike and when did they splits up? Sounds like hike started at 10 and he couldn’t find her back at the car at 1. So it doesn’t seem like she had a long hike back down to the car.

You'd risk your baby's life to save a dog?

The bachelors passed her when she was still with the police officer/hike date. They thought she was fine and in short conversation she didn't indicate she needed anything.

Honestly I don't think she realized that her internal organs/system might have been under distress as much as it was. Also it was apparently her first hike let alone her first hike in Arizona temperatures exceeding 100F.

This is so weird. Did the cop give her the car keys to cool off? Seems like all her belongings except phone were in the car, they didn’t have any water… if he was doing this hike all the time why didn’t they bring water?

And what was the plan when she had hiked alone back down to the locked car? Bake in the heat until he finished the climb and came back down to unlock the car?

I wouldn’t leave the dog out tied up alone. Parents could split up.

NP but seriously! I love my dog but he is not on the same level as a human family member. Absolutely I’d save my baby and husband before my dog. The dog is an animal.

Seems like they did. It didn’t work.
