Roman mentioned her name briefly in last night's episode. May be a sign she'll make another appearance.

I didn't catch this. When and in what context?

Also, does Logan have a will? We know there was a paper in his safe, but did he have an actual will? I find this odd.

Good point. Anybody with his wealth has done a whole lot of estate planning.

No, it's def Tom. Why Shiv kept looking at him and suddenly felt ambivalent about their relationship, even giving it one final go.

The show runners have confirmed in a podcast that Tom is the father. For sure for sure, no more speculation.

I think that fight makes it slightly more likely that Shiv will terminate the pregnancy because right now her choices are awful. She can try to stick it out with Tom, knowing that he believe what he said about her and also knowing that he would probably stick it out anyway just to stay in proximity to the money and power. Or she can divorce him knowing that he will have parental rights and she will have to pay him probably a huge amount in child support (in divorces like this, child support can be massive because there is an expectation that the kids have some consistency in their lives between the rich parent and the not-rich parents, which means the rich parent forks over a lot of money for housing, tutoring, activities, private schools, etc. in order to make up for the difference in resources) plus they would be in each others lives for ever.

Shiv is in her 5th or 6th month, isn’t she? I’m guessing the super-rich can always pay someone to take care of it, but still it seems like a long-shot.

Neither Shiv nor Tom would make a great parent, but Tom might be marginally better.

No, I think she's still early 2nd trimester. She has not had her 20 week scan yet (her doctor mentioned scheduling it about a week before this party takes place, if you go by a timeline where Logan dies on a Saturday and the party was 9 days later). So if she was about 15 weeks at the time of the call, she's about 4 months now. Not absurdly late for a termination.

The fact that she has not told a single soul other than her doctor also leans toward the idea that she hasn't ruled it out. I think she's been keeping the option.

How on earth can Tom NOT know that she’s pregnant? She looks different and they were sleeping together. You’d think he would have noticed or suspected.

Why isn’t she telling him??????

On the phone call in the first episode, her Dr. says they’ll talk about scheduling the 20 week ultrasound. Every episode is one day, so if she had the amniocentesis at around 15 weeks, she may only be around 20 weeks. If it’s her first pregnancy, she may not show much.

There has been discussion of existing trusts in the past, especially with regard to the impact on control of voting shares. Someone with his $$ would have irrevocable trusts for estate tax purposes. Everyone knows what they’re getting.

I feel like Tom would have to be pretty clueless not to notice she’s 4 months pregnant. Even if she’s not showing, it changes so much about your body

Do we think that Shiv and Tom can come back from that horrible fight?

Like was that the cathartic letting it all out they both needed to come back to each other - or was that the declaration of war, now and forever?

why haven't they had the funeral yet? hasn't it been several weeks. Is Logans brother (Gregs grandfather) still alive.

Oof, I don't know if you can come back from what Tom said to Shiv about her being a bad mom. Like I think that would be hard to come back from no matter what, but given that Shiv is pregnant...

I think if they still wind up together, it will be shown to be a deeply cynical choice on both sides, Tom staying for the money and the lifestyle, Shiv staying so she can have an intact family (assuming she decides to have the baby) and because she will decide it's the most she can hope for given how screwed up she is.

I think it's more likely they split, though.

Each episode since his death has been one day, so it has definitely not been several weeks. But also several weeks wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for a large event that requires a ton of planning and logistics so VIPs could attend.

ultimately all the Roy siblings will lose control of company, be pushed out by the board for some kind of failures or legal shanigans and the company no longer has any Roy on the board or even working at Waystar. Tom will land somewhere. Shivs baby is a big unknown.

Didn't Kerry plan to get pregnant by Logan? That may be a detail that could pop up again.

Can someone please explain to me what ever happened with the Pierce deal? All this maneuvering is stressing my feeble brain.

I thought the siblings needed the Gojo money (when the deal closed) in order to close Pierce. So if Gojo doesn't close then they can't buy Pierce bc they don't have the funds.

I have no idea what's happened to Pierce deal, but considering every episode is 1 day in a consecutive day timeline their meeting with the Pierces would have been a week ago.

Full confession - I have become a little obsessed with this show.

I re-watched this episode and I think Tom knows she's pregnant. During their fight when he says he doesn't think she would be a very good mother the camera zooms in on Shiv and you can tell that really hit her lunch a punch in the gut, but her reaction is a weak, "Well, that's not a very nice thing to say, is it?" I'm not trying to go down a Lost type rabbit hole here, but if you cut out that part of the fight it's at a very different pace/level than the rest. Tom makes a big pause before he says that, and then Shiv has this very weak reaction - she doesn't attack Tom, she just kind of folds. And then they move on. Call me crazy, but this was a vicious fight and when Tom says that it's a perfect opening for Shiv to go for the jugular and really insult him where he's vulnerable, and she just doesn't.

^^ "like a punch in the gut," not lunch - LOL.
