16 weeks? Finding out whether the abnormal results of the NIPT were fatal. |
My kids are all teens. But I thought there were new tests that you could do very early in the pregnancy? With no wiggle room or time to wait for the 20 week anatomy scan, abortions will move up too. Just in case. |
Haha I think you are right. |
Can't states enact laws to protect abortion rights? Why aren't people focused on that? This is getting sent to the states. |
That whole Yale thing... |
Stupid man. Go harass another thread. |
Maybe. Not really what I’m picking up. I’m getting mostly unmitigated glee, some schadenfreude, and for the true believers a sense of peaceful satisfaction with having finally won a decades’ long battle. But on the other hand, sure, you seem like someone who has a genuine grasp on the mindset of pro-lifers. ![]() As for pro choice voters being fired up and mobilized politically? Time will tell. I’d love it if some of those women reallocated time from promiscuous sex and visiting the clinic to engaging civically for what they believe in. |
Responding t below.
Who’s out there hemming and hawing about getting an abortion for 15, 20, 25 weeks? Waiting for a payout or an engagement? Sounds like drama. |
High doses of vitamin c works as well, and many herbs/tinctures. HOWEVER, these are not recommended as being safe. That’s the issue. There are plenty of ways to cause a miscarriage naturally, but they all come with risk. Enter coat hangers. |
No, the at is incorrect. In addition to the 15-week ban challenged in Donna, Mississippi also has a trigger law that will go into effect within the next ten days that will ban all abortion in the state with the exception of imminent threat to the woman’s life (i.e., when she’s literally bleeding out on the table) or in the case of rape where there is a formal charge (which is decided by the prosecutor, a police report by the victim is not enough). |
Because that leaves out the women in red states who still should have a right to make decisions about their bodies. Don’t you get it? |
I have two friends one of whom had no idea she was pregnant until 16 weeks along and another who didn’t know until 20 weeks. It happens and it happens a LOT particularly with unpredictable cycles. So what’s next, forced pregnancy tests every day? JUst to be sure? |
Women who may become pregnant need to start tracking their cycles ON PAPER. Dollar stores carry pregnancy tests. It might make sense to keep certain medications on hand as well. |
People also don't understand the privacy implications of this decision. Here's a good primer: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2022/07/04/we-are-not-going-back-to-the-time-before-roe-we-are-going-somewhere-worse |
