Massacre’: Israel forces attack crowds waiting for aid in Gaza, killing 21
Palestinian officials call latest assault ‘premeditated’ as people seeking humanitarian supplies increasingly targeted.

At least 21 Palestinians have been killed after Israeli forces opened fire on thousands of people waiting for aid in Gaza City in the same area that was targeted hours earlier, government officials said.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza described the late Thursday attack as a “new, premeditated massacre” and said more than 150 people were wounded.

Witnesses told Al Jazeera that Israeli forces had used helicopters, tanks and drones to target thousands of people waiting on food trucks.

It was the latest in a string of assaults on people desperately in need of food and other essential supplies as Israel continues to obstruct and severely control the entry of aid into the enclave.

Israel needs to be pay for these crimes.

Be pay? Your grammar is slipping, Vlad.

Anyhow, it looks like that latest attack on a humanitarian convoy was not IDF and in fact IDF has aerial video footage showing armed Hamas on the ground firing guns in the midst of the crowd. Yet another Hamas lie. Yet another thing IDF was falsely blamed for.

The ‘Vlad’ here screams senile boomer!

Plenty of this on the Ukraine thread too. There is clearly someone obsessed with Putin, using “you must be a Russian troll” in lieu of legit arguments. Maybe it’s a bunch of people, idk

The constant language mistakes on the anti-Ukraine and anti-Israel threads scream posts by foreign, non-native English speakers. Some of it's obvious, some more subtle but there's a few other tells too. If it's a bunch of people it's weird that they all make the same mistakes.

The question of Russian trolls was raised a while back with the admin of this site - he said he didn’t have any indication of that. Maybe it has changed, but there are many non native speakers who don’t agree with US foreign policy in Ukraine or Israel. They aren’t necessarily trolls, let alone paid ones. Calling a dissenting voice Vlad doesn’t add anything to the discussion. Besides, you are offending non native speakers and people named Vlad or Vladimir. It becomes annoying.

On the contrary, the pro-Israel “this land was promised to us” guy is LITERALLY the most prominent Eastern European / Russian voice that has been active in these threads.

According to who? You? The weirdo who a couple of pages back made the strange claim that "most" Israelis were Russians and as such were somehow aligned with Russia? Sorry, nope.

DP. Most Israelis ARE Russian immigrants. You haven't been paying attention, brotha. Nothing weird or strange about that reality, other than the fact that those immigrant morons also have an iron grip on the Knesset and they enable slobs from Mother Russia and the trip-state area to terrorize indigenous people, especially in the West Bank.

NP This is completely incorrect. Russians are the largest groups of immigrants, yes, but they make up less than 20% of the population as a whole.

If you include "Israeli Arabs" in the numbers. The estimated number of Russian speakers among Jewish Israelis is 30% and growing. That doesn't include the formerly Russian immigrants from the inter-war period.

Again post your source for "30% and growing" - this article says 15% and that's far believable and more in line with other numbers I've seen. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2013/jan/18/russian-vote-israel

Your numbers are shrinking fast... you started at 65%, now you're at "30% and growing" - whereas actual sources say 15%... Can you explain why you feel this urgent need to keep lying and grossly exaggerating the number?

You are interacting with more than one person. I'm the one who stated 65%, and I stand by it. To be abundantly clear, it's 65% not of the entire Israeli population, but 65% of the non-Arab Israeli population. So around 4.8M of Israeli's 9.4M "official" citizens.

People like you who try to create propagate nonsense that Israelis are just as indigenous as the Palestinians desperately try to downplay the Soviet population surge in the region over the past 40 years, in particular, and you attempt to contain the number by only counting the immigration count. And then you try to count the children and grandchildren of this immigrants as something other than "Soviet" or "Russian" or "Polish", as if by virtue of having been born in Israel, they no longer are non-indigenous. Nobody is buying that.

Someone else referenced 15% or 30% or whatever.

You are lying about this as well. Even a "Soviet" Jew's DNA is strongly and closely tied to the Levant, NOT to Slavic DNA. The DNA of most Israelis is virtually indistinguishable from that of "indigenous" Palestinians. It's wild that you continue to falsely believe the Jewish diaspora apparently never happened and pretend that Israelis are "Europeans" with no ties to the region. What else do you deny in this bizarre alternative universe of yours? The Holocaust?

Numerous genetic studies prove this: https://www.haaretz.com/science-and-health/2015-10-20/ty-article/palestinians-and-jews-share-genetic-roots/0000017f-dc0e-df9c-a17f-fe1e57730000 - typical Israeli Jews' genes are most closely aligned to Palestinians. NOT Russians.

There are plenty of peer-reviewed studies that blow that nonsense sky high. Most Israelis have negligible genetic ties to the Levant region, much less the smaller Israel dimensions. Negligible, as in, no more than any random person selected from any country in the world. Most Israelis are genetically from the regions containing Russia, or Poland, the Ukraine, etc. And if you want to challenge that FACT, go ahead and explain the curious coincidence that EVERY SINGLE PM IN ISRAEL'S HISTORY HAS BEEN ASHKENAZI, and 85%+ of the historical Knesset officials have been Ashkenazi, too.

Kinda odd that all of these so-called indigenous Israelis have been so consistently comfortable putting their fate in the hands of immigrants.

You have absolutely no shame. None of that was controversial, misleading, exaggerated or a lie.

Brookings report, from your link, page 10: "16% of Israelis speak Russian" - pretty far from 30%, much less 65%. Far more consistent with the 15% number above.
Didn't listen to the Wilson Center podcast
Your Jpost article doesn't cite anything to directly back up 30% let alone 65%. Cites 1.5m from from former Soviet sphere which given Israeli population of 9.5m works out to... 15% - also not 30% or 65%.

So you did in fact mislead and grossly exaggerate. And now you thought you could bamboozle by posting links that don't actually back up your claims - while additionally insulting everyone's intelligence by assuming we wouldn't bother to check your links. You're the one with no shame.

No, YOUR nonsense has been blown sky high.

Where the hell do you think Ashkenazis come from? They came from JUDEA and then moved as communities from place to place after they were expelled. However in doing so they typically kept their marriages within the Jewish community which is why they still primarily have the same DNA as Palestinians.

Still WRONG and you were caught in a lie. Stop spinning. Stop lying.

The truth hurts. Facing the fact that Israeli was created on the backs of terrorism and brutal, murderous land theft, and that is sustained on the backs of state-sponsored terrorism and apartheid must feel terrible. But those feelings don't change the facts.

If this is such a strong case then why do you feel the need to constantly go out of your way and lie about it? Don't you understand that your constant lies about Israelis destroys your credibility and undermines your cause?

And you wonder why people keep calling you a troll. It's because you're been repeatedly caught in a constant stream of anti-Israeli lies, your lies proven over and over and over. Yet you dishonestly and disingenuously insist on returning to repeat them again and again. You are here pushing an agenda that is laced with lies.

Yes, I understand that you believe that merely by saying a word, your voice makes it true. Accusing others of lying is a classic Zionist tactic. That's why you align so well with the "fake news" charlatans here in the U.S.

If I want to know what you're up to, I only need to observe what you're accusing others of.

You're the liar. You're the one pushing an agenda that Israel is good, and everyone else is bad. Dishonesty is your currency.

No. YOUR anti-Israel lies have been PROVEN. Proven, backed up with links and citations. You on the other hand have spouted nonsense, with nothing to back any of it up. YOU are the dishonest one.

Anonymous wrote:Now we’re resorting to arguing that 15% of Israelis speak Russian, and therefore that’s the correct way to determine the concentration of immigrants from the former Soviet bloc in Israel?

What about their children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who don’t speak Russian because they were born in Israel?

What about the immigrants from Ukraine?

What about the immigrants from Poland?

What about the immigrants from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania?

What about the immigrants from Belarus?

And on and on …

The diaspora is a fairytale concocted to prop up the fantasy that you are special, chosen people. If you think your fairytales hold water, you’re mistaken. Israel is populated by a handful of indigenous olive-skinned Jews in a sea of alabaster-skinned Soviet imports with blue eyes and facial features that scream “not from here, ever!” …

WTF dude. I know of Americans whose grandparents came here from the Soviet Union - and guess what - hardly ANY of them speak Russian. Just like how the closest many of the thousands of grandchildren of Sicilian immigrants to New Jersey could get to speaking Italian is a handful of mangled words and phrases like "mangia" and "gabbagool."

Yet somehow we're supposed to believe there's supposed to be some kind of magic that keeps Russian alive in Israeli grandchildren and great grandchildren? Dubious. It was enough that they kept their own indigenous language of Hebrew alive, why bother with some dumb temporarily borrowed language that's no longer all that useful in the grand scheme of things?

Sorry but I'll take the Brookings report at its word of 16% - and even that's most likely just the more recent immigrants, not the grandkids of former immigrants. There's not even that many US Jews who speak Yiddish anymore, because they are generations removed from the communities that spoke it.

The article above refutes it. Ashkenazi Jews have closest genetic ties to Palestinians. Yes, there has been some intermarriage with Europeans but predominantly they kept marriages within the Jewish community and this is reflected in their genes just as they kept their religion, culture, language and other things intact for thousands of years.

Nope... Don't deflect, anti-semite. You didn't get called an anti-semite for talking about Netanyahu or policy or whatever else...

What you specifically did is you denied the Jewish diaspora and called it a "fairy tale" - which is a lie, and a classic anti-semitic trope. You are busted for what you are, anti-semite. You FULLY EARNED that badge.

That’s THE point. Those descendants who don’t speak the mother tongue are undercounted in the 1.5M figure, among other material undercounting.

I know you didn’t intend to torpedo your argument, but good job, I guess?

I’ve been criticizing Netanyahu and Israeli policy since the beginning. Smear away, your magical weapon of censorship is losing its power every time you misuse it.

Didn't "torpedo" anything, nimrod. Why exactly should I care about of an Israeli whose dad was a Moroccan Jew, whose mom's father was a Jewish holocaust survivor born in Germany, and whose mom's mom was a Jew born in Poland? After all that's exactly the kind of person you would be counting as a "Russian Jew" in your figures - grandkids, great grandkids, whatever. "OMG RuSsIaNs!!!!"

Jeff deleted your "Jewish diaspora is a fairy tale" post and now you are trying to gaslight about it and pretend it didn't happen. UN-BE-LIEVABLE. You are a real piece of anti-semitic trash.

Wow. This morning alone, you have:
- repeatedly been caught in multiple lies
- have engaged on OVERT anti-semitism calling the Jewish diaspora a "fairy tale" and falsely claiming Ashkenazi Jews have no ties to Israel
- then engaged in willful gaslighting with more lies and deflections after Jeff deleted your anti-semitic drivel trying to pretend it didn't happen and was somehow legitimate criticism of Netanyahu that got deleted (yet another lie)

You truly are the worst kind of lying, deceitful troll. And Jeff saw it. He knows the truth of it. As do the rest of us.
